Let's see. Still to be assembled: Home One, Endor Rebel Trooper & Imperial Trooper Battle Pack, Droid Escape, TIE Fighter, X-Wing, Battle For Endor and Something Secret Nick Has Hinted About.
I think that's enough!

How big is that set? It looks pretty small, especially for the price I will find out when it has assembled. But it has Ackbar's chair, so is worth any price! -Ralph

Just spent an hour with @adam16bit trying to find out how many different Minifigures have been made!

If it had been actual minifigures I'd have bought it in a flash!

But Real Minifigs can be substituted...
Tie Fighter and X-Wing built. The latter has a knob that can be twirled the make the wings go into the attack foil position!

Ah just like the previous one. How wide is the body of the rear: four or six studs?
I now have a working debit card. There is purchasing to be done....

Looks like a 6-stud if I am looking at the right bit.
PHIL MUST OWN.

Despite having the previous X-Wing which is superior BECAUSE THE DROID SOCKET IS THE RIGHT WAY ROUND?
Actually looking at mine it's 8 studs across.... but a 4 stud droid socket with the sides endged with those 1x1 slopes would do the trick......

I have purchased my first adult-acquired non-mini LEGO kit. I was so impressed with the V-Wing starfighter that I was buying for someone else that I ended up purchasing one for myself (not assembled yet - I am leaving that to bribe myself with in regard to my first day back at work). This is how it starts though - I know this from my Macross collection - you get one and then you realise that you can't send them out without a wingman.... Then you think about getting another one but that needs a wingman too..... The danger exists that I may end up acquiring a certain amount of LEGO this year....

V-wing is tempting me. It's the open face tie pilot helmet

I too must have it at some point.
Building the Big TRU Hoth Base. So much better than the small one. PHIL NEEDS ONE. It will be even better once I fetch the small one from the back of the cupboard of doom to make a super giant Hoth base!

In fact, now that it is finished, it may be the most splendid LEGO SW set I have built yet! So much fun, and it's a proper base toy when complete. Looks good and has many fun features. A rare example of looking better in person than the box pics made it look.

Had a bit of a good day with the Lego SW:
First an Ewok Attack in WHS: RRP £25, WHS price £28 reduced to £21 :-)
That meant I then *needed* the new Endor Battle pack: £12 in Argos
Then on the way back I found a single remaining Landspeeder in the Tescos devastation. RRP £25, put it through the tills and it rang up at £18.66.

I will be building THE BATTLE OF ENDOR after dinner. Phil, you'll need this to go with your Endor and Ewok packs!

I was suspecting I might.
So that's £600 you want me to spend on Lego then?

Post by The Doctor on Jan 5, 2012 19:14:09 GMT
Yep.
If it helps, I need to pull about £600 out of my bum too for all the LEGO I need.
Look what Toy-Fu did to us!

What, the Death Star or the Executor?
I might hit Tesco: Springburn to see if they have any Landspeeders left. I quite fancied it but wasn't prepared to pay the £25.
Picked up some series 6 Minifigures today. The girl at the till said "do you want some of these?" and handed me a pile of mini General Grievous starfighters like the things that were in the Sun promos in December. She was told to hand them out to anyone. They are available to anyone who wants one, or just go to your local TRU and... buy something, I guess? A Legion or a minifigure or something. Ask at the tills if they have any first.
I assume we'll get another one next week. I'll keep t'TMUK-F posted.
-Nick
EDIT: Opened the 5 minifigures I picked up at TRU. They consisted of: Surgeon w/ x-ray Boy in pyjamas w/ teddy bear (whom I have decided is the kid from Time Bandits) Another boy in pyjamas w/ teddy bear Desperado w/ 2 six-shooters and awesome hat Highlander w/ claymore and round shield!
I already have the Roman Soldier and Genie. I still want to get Alien, Barbarella, Statue of Liberty, Clockwork Robot, Minotaur, Lepechaun and Goth Skateboard Chick. The Flamenco dancer, Butcher and Mechanic I'm less concerned by.

I might hit Tesco: Springburn to see if they have any Landspeeders left. I quite fancied it but wasn't prepared to pay the £25. The one I got was the last one in the shop. Done the Endor Battlepack set without looking at the instructions! Why are there so many Speeder bikes in Lego sets ?
