Oh yes!
Coming December 2010, a five-issue sequel to the critically acclaimed TRANSFORMERS: LAST STAND OF THE WRECKERS from the James Roberts / Nick Roche dream team! TRANSFORMERS: SURVIVORS explores, with gynaecological precision, the ramifications of this summer's must-read WRECKERS series. Action! Intrigue! Violence! The TRANSFORMERS Universe goes nuclear!
At least, that's what I imagine happening after I personally get on bended-knee at IDW's offices and plead with the editors.

Hopefully Nick should say something at AA10 - he shoudl have got first 2 issues planned out by this point. Sure Nick would have the first 4 issues done before #1 comes out - that just leaving him to do covers for #2-5

Graham, you're a bad man.
I almost wet myself when I saw the thread title, since I've been calling for that since issue 2 of LSotW.

I am terrible.
But still, wishful thinking.
Although, sometimes I think screw Transformers, I want to see James and Nick land a creator-owned series.

Ply Nick with alcohol at AA and then ask him to ask IDW to create this new series you want so badly.

The answer is simpler than that, get him drunk, take him back to your place, lock him in the basement and only let him out once hes made a sequel.

Or alternatively, get Turn and Burn to kidnap him and subject him to a screening of G.I Joe the Movie until he writes the sequel!

Although, sometimes I think screw Transformers, I want to see James and Nick land a creator-owned series. Hear, hear. (Though actually, LSOTW might as well not have been Transformers. The use of alternate modes and the characters' robotic nature was minimal, and disguise modes non-existent.) But I'm also hoping they commission James to do an official Transformers novel. (With cover by Nick, of course.) Martin

Although, sometimes I think screw Transformers, I want to see James and Nick land a creator-owned series. Creator-owned series, a property from one of the Big Two, another Transformers series.... anything, just someone toss the two of em some more work. Because it seems that they have interesting things to say and that is sadly all to rare in comics these days. Karl

Have you lot seen this over at IDW? Andy Schmidt popped in to answer some of the fans questions: forum.idwpublishing.com/viewtopic.php?t=7959&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=&sid=986d91b9c08670cf6bc6dfb4885d5728Quote of greatest interest: "Nick is penciling TRANSFORMERS #13 next and we're figuring out what's after that hopefully very soon. He took time off after WRECKERS to get some sleep, i think... I've been speaking with James a lot this past week and he's got a new project all but completely signed off on that is really interesting. And he's helping me with a little pet TF project I've wanted to get done for years... Andy"

There seems to be some positive comments about that announcement that Schmidt put on that forum. Lets hope that this time he's telling the truth and not coming out with a load of bullshit he usually accustomed to doing.

Afraid I need to vent:
Is anybody else hating the Rocherts nickname? And the name-blend thing in general? IMO it's almost as annoying as every feeble scandal being known as _______gate.
More from Nick and James is great news. But, ( I can't resist another whinge, sorry). I wish I was an IDW editor so that I could get somebody with more talent to make my pet TF projects a reality, even though said talented person could probably come up with something better if left to their own devices.

That seems a bit of a strong reaction to the chap just teasing upcoming stuff. -Ralph

The thing that annoys me about the Rocherts thing is it seems to suddenly have this attached implication that everything they do from now on has to be together. Yet they are both wonderful writers in their own right. I'd love to see more of them on their own merits. Which, it sounds from Schmidt, we might actually be getting. So hopefully that name will die off all too soon.

I am sure it's meant as a term of affection and nothing more. At least that's how I first read it.
There's hope yet; two out of three portmanteaus end in separation these days.

You are evil Graham
I do hope for some sort of continuation though
or at least some Spotlights or Coda stories saying some of the earlier tales, like what was Guzzle doing before LSOTW, or Rotorstorm's exploits, or how Verity joins the team

We must all write to IDW asking for more from Nick and James. maybe someone can sort out an online petition for us to pass round the other transformers forums for people to "sign" and pass onto IDW

A considered opinion is often drowned out among the fan chatter on the boards.
The Powers That Be at IDW have always responded professionally and courteously to any email I've sent about their comics. If you really want more Rocherts (I forget their original names now) comics, a direct email is the best way to go.

'...Wreckers' was a blast and hopefully there's more where that came from, but any positive comments you can direct to IDW will definitely help.
