Most people just end up with pens and laccy bands. I think Armstrong's "shrinkage" is rather better than most.
That far side time-lapse video is womderful - i love that we've gone in my lifetime from fleeting glimpses to actually being able to map it. That is wonderful.

I may still have various items of equipment purchased to enable me to work from home..... including a desk, chair, monitor riser, keyboards.....
Empty A4 paper boxes were frequently leaving with me to be used to deploy items sold on ebay/to other TMUK members.

Aw wow that's really sparked my interest. Fascinating. Only 70,000 years ago? Are they still looking for Nemesis? The Sun's theorised Brown Dwarf companion?

As far as I am aware there isn't much of anybody out there who takes the proposal of Nemesis seriously. Certainly I'm not aware of anyone coming up with anything to suggest there is any reason to take the possibility seriously enough to mount an actual search.
I am fascinated by the Mars haze though. Not from an "Ooooh! Maybe it is Martians" point of view but from a perspective of there being chemical/physical processes ongoing on Mars we've not accounted for yet - it is like when they were first speculating about the Io/Jupiter flux tube. Quite exciting.

It's ok. The Nemesis was destroyed in Earth orbit by Galvatron's DIY planet buster in the year 1986. We're quite safe now.

I'm not sure how seriously the idea of Nemesis was ever taken except in a few 'particular' quarters...

It did seem to me, back in the day, that if Nemesis had been there all along, why hadn't the Decepticons tried to "leave Earth in it" sooner? Why wasn't it mentioned prior to Starscream's conversation with Galvatron? Kind of a big deal, you know, a freakin' starship loitering up there in earth orbit.
And no, the concept of Nemesis has always been a shaky one, but it would be SO COOL if it were true. Like Vulcan.

These discoveries leave me feeling all at sea!
We were discussing the Ganymede paper in the lab the other day. We didn't understand a lot of it but we were all very impressed with the detective work and the quality that had gone into it.
