Any other comic character A-Z's would be most welcome. As would a feature on differences between tech specs and character portrayals in the comics. -Ralph That would actually make for a good feature. I think Beachcomber's AtoZ Commentary very briefly touched on that his comic portrayal wasn't much like his Universe bio. But, yes! More Marvel AtoZs on the way. I think Impactor's next...

An interesting point. It could have been a local initiative, in fact it would fit well with being something a younger Straxus had initiated - given that he went on to have a pretty much genocidal obsession with culling out the unfit. It seemed in The Smelting Pool more an end in itself than a proper attempt to reclaim resources, but he would have had to have started small at some point.... Karl Of course, with the story following Crankcase's point of view so closely, and with him getting out of there as quick as possible, it's all just conjecture right now...

We only get to see short glimpses of most characters in the comics. In many cases, we could easily assume that the tech-specs/Universe entries are correct but we've just not seen enough of them in the stories to see that side of them.
In a few cases, that reasoning won't work, but in most cases I think it does.
Back to the brain module stuff, it was never established the extent to which the Decepticons used non-sentient machines like early Jetfire (or perhaps controlled by a single controller splitting his consciousness?) against the Autobots, or the extent to which Optimus Prime did to those machines what Buster did to Jetfire.
On the other hand, I suppose if the Deceps put their brain modules in Trypticons they wouldn't need that many of them.
