As noted elsewhere, subscribers have been receiving their copies. Thoughts?
Well first of all, the usual spoiler warning because I may type something someone considers a spoiler blah blah...
Anyway I think this issue's new UK strip is my favourite so far. I loved Guido Guidi's art on Armada/Energon and here, it's just as good, with just the right amount of detail and clear story telling. Also after a few issues where I felt the colours didn't always work, Jason Cardy's work compliments Guido perfectly. Script wise I was glad to see the introduction of the species claiming a connection to the Matrix Allspark. OK so they were lying, but as noted at the end there was previously someone there with a connection and I'm sure it's something we'll come back to.
As noted in the aforementioned elsewhere, after the worry that Ralph in print caused, it was a relief to see Mech Mail this month. I'm sure I'm not the only one who flipped straight to the back to check.

The Allspark bit is very interesting, I hope to see that carried on. Not as good as the last two issues, which were more "weighty" in what happened and the character development, but I did love seeing the Energon characters fighting with Ironhide and little details about the Decepticon army.
And I've said it before and it's still true - Beast Wars: The Gathering is really good in this chopped-up format. I was a bit bored with issue 2 in the monthly, but for some reason I was really into this month's part even though it's just six/seven pages cut out...
Loving the Mech Mail fan-art from young kids. Titan's doing their job.
But most important - I have a Neutron Blaster! Wooooo!

... and it's in the shops, as well.
I can't think of anything original, so I'll simply say, ditto! The Movie strip was wonderful, the prequel strip was appropriately eventful (though full of humes) and the Beast Wars strip was well paced. It manages to be all-inclusive, inviting contribution from all ages. Well done Titan!
I'm unsure how they will distinguish next month's movie special from the previous issues that featured movie coverage, but I'm looking forward to the Jazz cover.

Regarding this issue's 'head to head', sorry, but Frenzy will make mincemeat of Sam. End of story.

The Neutron blaster is great and next month there's a target game. It looks like there's a ball with it, but the blaster will make it more fun. I have to agree about 'The Gathering', it's like reading a different story.

I haven't bothered reading any of the reprints, though I might be persuaded to give it a second go, based on what you chaps have been saying.
Guido's art was thoroughly enjoyable on the main strip and Jason Cardy's colours complemented him quite well I thought. Simon giving us a solid story and teasing us with some backstory concerning the Allspark. I wondered how long it would be until he introduced some possible on-going story aspects that weren't relying on the core elements of the film or it's sequel. Glad to see that we are getting this before the end of the first story-arc.
Another solid issue from Titan.
And again I am so happy that I have a Transformers comic from the UK drop through my door. Now if it was only weekly (or at least fortnightly)!

IAnd again I am so happy that I have a Transformers comic from the UK drop through my door. Now if it was only weekly (or at least fortnightly)! Andy You never know, if the comic became a big hit perhaps the frequency might increase (the UK Market does support comics that come out every 2 or 3 weeks). I wouldn't hold your breath though! Does anyone know how well it is selling? That scripts have been commissioned through to #12 and switching to art covers from #7 would at least indicate it hasn't flopped, I would surmise Still, at least it's 4-weekly rather than monthly (13 issues a year rather than 12) and comes out on time. With #5 it equals the run of G2UK. How many issues until it outlasts Armada UK? I don't have any issues of that anymore to check. -Ralph

Armada was cancelled with issue 8, I believe. Tragically, issue 8 was the only borderline good one.

Yeah Issue nine was when the lead strip stopped being written for the under fives and Baskerville was brought in to ink Andy Wildman. Sadly the colour was still that horrific lazy ass style.
Panini Armada - a missed opportunity.

It didn't even have tat value, like G2-UK. I've never had a desire to re-acquire the issues of Armada UK.

Likewise, and it will take a brave man to try and pry my Fleetway G2 comics from my house.
One day I will do a fanzine with such splendid gatefoldery.

I'd say this was the best issue yet. Even the back ups like Beast Wars and Movie adaption were more appealing for some reason.
I was really quite happy with the Ironhide story. INTRIGUE!

Is it just me or do the Big Alien Blokes from Lost in Space part 3 look like they've just walked off of the 2002 he-man series?

I'm going to be radical and say up 'till issue 5 I hadn't thought much at all to the new comic, apart from the Doc's letter of course. The Ratchet and Devastator stories I thought were pants. None of it grabbed me, except for the Beast War back-up story. But issue 5 I really enjoyed! I loved the Ironhide strip, very interesting. Real personality came through and I liked the flash-back. Hope it's picking up. But where do you think the comic is going? Assumeing it stays in print. Do you think we'll eventually find out what happens after the events in the movie? That's what I'd like to see.

I got around to reading it last night, having had it sat around for a few days.
This issue's highlight, for me, was Jason Cardy's colouring, which I thought was superb and complemented Guido's art well.
