Auto Assembley has gone and been. Would love to hear from those who were there how it went as well as stories of drunkeness, road-trip tales etc.
I got me a 3 hour exam today. It's in the afternoon, so I am thankful to have the pressure of getting somewhere on time taken off me so early.
Here's to a good week gang.

Nooo. I feel I missed out. Could you not lie to us? Um, okay then. In everyone's bags was a pill which you were forced to bite down on and swallow, half were full of earwax and the other half were full of poison. Nick Roche would only do sketches if you let him stab you in the stomach, Simon Furman was only signing people's eyeballs. There was a big guy with a lumphammer whose job it was to smash all your purchases on the way out. Also they removed the stairs so the only way to leave the hall was to leap out of a second story window onto the busy motorway below, while Simon Plumbe stood above with a machine gun, laughing maniacally. ...Actually I made it sound AWESOMER didn't I? :V

Yes, yes you did. A flesh wound would be a small price to pay for a Roche sketch

Yes, yes you did. A flesh wound would be a small price to pay for a Roche sketch Well once he stabbed you, he would reach into the wound, rip out your kidney and eat it slowly in front of you, robbing you of your power and gaining the ability to draw. But yeah, small price!

So that's why we have two kidneys.

As you've been hearing a new carpet was laid on Friday.
Today we shifted the computer (and desk) into the big bedroom so we've spent a merry time getting that to work.

Nick reporting in.
Toy-fu was a success, though a smaller one than last year. Pulled in just over 5G, which subtracting Matt and Andy's share from their contributions leaves me a couple of hundred quid down on what I spent on stock. Still, there's plenty left over and Andy is very kindly ebaying all the Botcon stuff that didn't sell at the time so I should be in the black by the end of that. Matt has bravely shouldered the burden of taking in the excess loose stock while the boxed and carded stuff is in the hands of Parcel Force. God help their little cardboard backers.
Absolutely cream crackered. Legs like streaks of piss and arms to match. Head is full of cotton wool. Going to eat something then pass out.

I only got an attempted stabbing by the waiter at the wetherspoons and it was in the back, thankfully the blade was dull. Andy

Not to worry Nick, Botcon goodness on ebay will indeed come through, plus I still owe for some stuff.
I was so passed it I made it to within 20 miles of Manchester before realising I was on the wrong side of the country.
True story!
Relying on GPS is fine as long as the selected destination is correct.
Only got the car back to the hire place with 10 minutes to spare.
Thanks to a selection of Nicks stuff I managed to bring back more than I took, safe to say certain parental units were somewhat dissapointed.
My haul listed elsewhere was quite brilliant. Generations is the best designed line I can remember. Device Blaster is also fan dabby dudey. All the guest were top notch, I particularly enjoyed Nick explaining toy safety laws to Gary Chalk. Derrick Wyatt excitedly snatching my Animated Actionmaster Thundercracker from me in the bar last night was also great, as was the general love of the fluresant pink.

Excellent news Nick! I honestly believe that once the excess stuff hits ebay you'll exceed last year's intake. The Botcon sets alone should clear £250 each and stick you into the black. At first the hotel staff denied there was a box for me. One of them tried to give me a box containing junker primes and ultra magnuses, but I was all "OH NO SIR I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT IN MY LIFE!" I now have your huge box sitting on my floor. And my arms are Mr Tickle arms

Flippin' heck, that is bloody dreadful. Makes me glad for once that I actually live in Birmingham!! EDIT: Ho ho, just before he left the hotel at about 3pm, Ralph said that he was going to ride the monorail back and forth at the airport just to kill a bit of time if he could. I hope that Ralph is on his 400th round trip on that monorail right now!

Looking forward to that Ralph. Are you putting up all the parts at once, or over a period of days?
Been watching last Sunday's Summerslam event. Not bad... I'm hoping other WWE spectators will also like it.
Jungle Ironhide continues to fall apart...

I just don't have enough handsome though, so I gave up.
