Nice shot then - your camera angle makes him look significantly larger. (Although, even knowing he is a deluxe he looks rather impressive).

He did'nt! . That was meant to be 5/5 I strongly toyed with 4/5 on an earlier draft because of the underdog vehicle mode but like I said in the review the vehicle mode has purpose for putting the character over. ===KEN

I've added a Cybertronian mode Megs to my Animated haul, in packaging this one and only £30 with postage.

It was nice to have a shot at Ken's animated toys at the weekend. Deluxe Cybertronian Prime was tops and is a must-buy. Voyager Bulkhead I wasn't sure about at first but it really grew on me the more I fiddled with it. One to pick up but not worth the inevitable £20 price-tag I think. One to get in a 3-for-2 offer or the like, methinks. Bonus points for the head sculpt having an ABC Warrior Mongrol vibe.

I've been looking at pictures of Leader class and Voyager class Bulkhead and comparing which is possibly better than the other.
I like the Leader class toy in terms of height and I reckon he might stand at a better scale than the Voyager toy up to the other figures. I think the extra detail such as the bolts etc is probably unnecessary since it is Animated after all. The legs on Leader class Bulkhead are a little long too unlike the cartoon and voyager toys. Bulkhead is cooler shorter stubby legs.
Leader class has some extra weapons by the looks of it and a cooler looking wrecking ball function. Still I worry this figure may turn into another Supreme Cheetor, Ultra Nightwing and Ultimate bumblebee story.
I acquired a Voyager Bulkhead recentley (£30 is very good IMO) and he's on his way.
I am still intrested in the leader class toy and kinda wondering what I may be missing out on.
Do any of you guys have a comparative analysis of these two Bulkhead figures?

I have a Voyager Bulkhead coming in the mail, when he arrives I'll tell you if he's any good. As for Leader Bulkhead, I'm tempted to get him for just this reason: youtube.com/watch?v=nqzOmIGhXKULee

With shipping £19.00. Also got a Starscream for the same and Cybertronian mode Prime and Bumblebee for £17 each. All unpackaged but complete on ebay. There seem to be a lot of prepackaged factory items about.

The only reason I was swaying towards voyager Bulkhead was because I hadn't seen any images of Leader Bulkhead with his wrecking ball and for a horrible moment I thought he didn't have one. If he has, then it's Leader class all the way. Where did you find out about all the features on Leader Bulkhead, Ken? EDIT: Also, I just want to say that we have waited entirely too long for a Decepticon leader with a voice chip that RELIABLY exclaims "Bwahahaha".-Nick

Mellowshade's posted video link for one For a bigger toy you'd expect all sorts of stuff it can do. That Headmaster gimmick is pretty neat too. Gotta love that moving jaw. ===KEN

Still not opened Bulkhead.
I did however see shots of him standing next to Bumblebee on Fat Guys blog and he stands at the same hight.
I think Leader class may be a better investment if you are concerned about scale.

I think Leader class may be a better investment if you are concerned about scale. ===KEN I have to say that scale has never really worried me when it comes to Transfomers particularly. After all their alt-modes were never properly in scale across the range anyway (if they were Starscream would have been several times the size of Jazz) except for things like Soundwave (but being 1:1 scale is just plain cheating). With Transformers the size of the thing and the amount of room they take up on display is more important to me than scale. I only really start to worry about that once you get into the high end of the market. Karl

I want to get the Leader Class figure anyway. I think I will still enjoy Voyager class Bulkie all the same regardless of scale.
Still boxed with newly acquired Starscream I will open them both when I am in a better fram of mind with Uni work aside to appreciate them.

I have a Voyager size Bulkhead (must have been from the same place on Ebay as Melowshade) and it's a nice toy. Nice smooth transformation with two fluid modes and two nice automorph features. This one has a power punching right arm and the all important wrecking ball that launches from his left. Recommended. The leader class one looks good too, from what I've seen - I just think the legs are too long. Not sure on the scale of the Voyager as I don't have any other Animated figures to compare him too yet. Chances are Bumblebee will dwarf him.

Take heart, Mr Burns- that's what Botcon is for.
For the record, I think Lockdown looks absolutely brilliant. He's gigantic in robot mode, too- about the height of movie Starscream according to some dude on 2005. I get the impression that the Decepticons are all supposed to look bigger than the Autobots even if they are the same size class.

OK they look pretty fucking kick arse don't they?
I've seen Megatron and Prowl and they both look really good.
A touch of the minimalist Batman animated series styling to them.

Some of the Animated toys quite appeal to me, others not so much. I am liking the look of Bumblebee, Prowl and the Optimus toys. Not entirely sold yet on Bulkhead. I've surprised myself by quite liking Starscream - initially I liked the humanoid mode look a lot but was a bit dubious about the fighter mode, recent photographs however have warmed me up to the fighter mode. It still looks absurdly chibbified, but somehow it has come to seem quite adorably chibi as I've warmed up to it.
I'm not a fan of the Cybertronian Megatron, and I've only seen one mode on the earth version - the not-exactly a V-22 mode - jury is out until I see a humanoid mode on that one.
I'm still swithering as to whether I will get anything other than Bumblebee. It will depend on what the finances and the space situation is like come the time I think.

Loving the style/shape of the box! (Easy and inexpensive to do the boxart, I should imagine.)
