As addressed on other TF sites (well I read Seibertron anyway) there has been some quality control problems with some of the first batch of Animated toys. The problems being bad joints, loose joints and bad paintjobs. Sadly my Animated Ratchet as good as he is and I really like him has a very dodgy right leg that falls off. It could be old age and not even the doc himself can make it 100% better In any case it would seem like that scene from Santa Claus: The Movie where all those rushed production toys are breaking on people and Hasbro could be in for a possible wrap around the knuckles. Has anyone else had problems with thier newly acquired Animated stuff?

Lockdowns legs are horibble. I cant move them without them falling off. And I was disappointed to by a bad paint app for Prowls visor. It looks worsethan it is, but that isnt really a consolation.
The 2 pack set has a few loose joint but they dont pop off. Im not really surprised as all mine were bought before Botcon so must be from one of the very first waves. Still it is a shame.

I wonder if waiting till the Japanese figures come out will be a wiser move. I feel like I waited long enough for these figures (and I can imagine the same for others too) and this happening really takes the Michael.
My Lockdown has a loose right ball joint on the leg. I can picture the frustration on a few punters for these figures.

I dont think Japan is planning on these yet. Better maybe to wait for a few months till Hasbro work out the kinks themselves.

I wonder if Hasbro will somehow offer an incentive or something (via proof of purchase) to make up for those kinks. I mean saving the receipt is good but not everyone does so

Wow!
It's like being on a Macross website!
But seriously - Lockdown's legs are a bit loose - and they did come off on me during the first transformation - but that's only because I pulled really hard - and they are made to come off if excess force is used.
I don't think it's a QC flaw - the legs are floppy because they are heavy and the ball joint is augmented by 360 degree rotation for the hips - ask for more poseability - invite some potential floppiness.
Nothing serious though - not a QC issue.
Same with Starscream's legs - they pop off quite easy - and GOOD! - otherwise he would break every time you transformed him.
I haven't opened any other deluxes yet - and nobody here has had any complaints of a QC nature.

I'm scared to open Blackarachnia now I see what you are saying with Lockdown's ball joint prob but mines pretty loose. As for Ratchet's leg I am gonna have to put up a photo and show what I mean because his leg problem is not down to balljoints. My Starscreams legs don't pop off at all but he transforms good. ===HERO

I haven't had any problems with the lot I picked up. These were last week in Edinburger. Maybe they were a later production run.

And the legs are not loose they are absolutely solid once positions I just cant move them from one position to the next without applying lots of together pressure on the joint. Hasbro have previously admitted some toys go through slight tweaking after the first run to fix this sort of problem. Wouldnt surprise me if such fixes are one of the reasons for the delay besides the movies success. Andy

There's an especially good bit where the middle word in a 'NO BALL GAMES' sign has been...removed. 'NO GAMES' it now says. I could believe it. -Ralph Yeah... that about sums up the place to be honest. I must let one of m colleagues know about that, I think he would appreciate it. But back on topic - I don't know about what Animated toy I will get first, but I saw pictures of the humanoid mode of Ultra Magnus for the first time this afternoon. That is a rather impressive toy - I can see myself thinking about picking that up. (So that's Prowl, Ratchet and Ultra Magnus I'm tempted by so far.... the Animated snowball is starting to roll downhill......) Karl

That "No Games" sign reminds me of a similar absurd sign near where my girlfriend lives. There is a small pond outside her apartment building, and a lovely path for taking walks; and a bench by the pond. Just behind the bench, there is a small shack like building and a sign: "WARNING: GAS! HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE! DO NOT BE IN THIS AREA FOR PROLONGED PERIODS!" So....sit down on the bench and enjoy the lake....at your own risk! As for Animated - I agree with Andy - these figures are being churned out by people who have an obvious big love and understanding of G1 and all the goodness of the original Transformers. pete

My favourite thing about the designers is that I got to talk to Derick Wyatt (am I mixing up a couple of names there) one of the lead designers for the cartoon and toys at Botcon and he knew what Actionmaster Thundercracker was. We've never had that sort of awareness of the history before.

I do have lovely breasts, as it happens. Plump, firm, and actually very hairy. Hmm, they're the best kind... Another fab idea (I have indeed snuck the odd item in when She's been out or whatever). The off shore account thing's a winner. Prob is my wage goes straight into the family acount. Gunna have to rasie some dosh elsewhere. Think it's finally time to sell my body... ... fiver a time's not too bad is it?

Wait! What?
"Family" account?!
Don't you have secretly sequestered funds with which to surprise your loved ones on special days?
Hmmm. As for extra funds why not kit out your ambulance and go ghostbusting on your days off?

But bustin' a second time around doesn't I think what really finished off the wonderful Ghostbusters phenomena was Ghost Busters II...which was no where near as good as the first one What I could really use though is a return of Ghost Busters real gear! I LOVED my Ghost Trap and the Backpack and all of the fabulous contraptions - would LOOOOOVVVVEEEE to get some of those and dress up as a Ghost Buster - and go round town like that Pete

Have you seen the Magnus pictures at BBTS ? Sentinel Prime looks rather good - he almost has a Go-Go-Gobots feel to him in some ways. Magnus does look rather impressive too. He's got an even better head sculpt than Sentinel Prime, and his "Thunderous Hammer" is rather nice as well. (I am considering doing something I don't usually do these days and putting in a preorder for Magnus as a Birthday present to myself.) Karl

Sentinel Prime looks amazingly...un-Animated in Truck mode... looks like something out of Cybertron or Armada even...(that's not a compliment!) ... If only Hasbro Poland had a clue as to what and when they were selling it, I'd rest content in waiting for this fellow Pete
