Guess who's the star of this Spotlight! Maybe the answer isn't as obvious as first appears.

I'm hoping it isn't Wheelie but if it is you can't say you never saw it coming.

And my worst nightmere.
Actually my worst nightmere would be waking up next to Wheelie in bed. *shivers*

That's from Denton's blog and is the variant cover for Spotlight: Wheelie or more accurately the cover I'll be buying!

That cover is brilliant. Channelling the style of the halcyon past. I like it a lot. I think I may have to have a specific look for that cover to be honest.

Between this and AHM's propaganda covers, they're certainly getting creative with their variant covers aren't they?

I still say they should do toy-variant covers, where they get Transformers action figures to pose like the regular cover.
This might cause problems when a character is meant to have gaping wounds, but...

Looks good, even though Wheelie's in it. The question is: Will it make me like Wheelie?

I would say so.
And remember there are no such thing as bad characters (except The Fallen) only badly written characters.

omg wheelie, he's all by him self, thats so sad! but he looks soooooo adorable at the same time, look at that smile aaaaaaaaaaaw just wanna pinch his cheeks! I know someone who would love to see this (they loves wheelie XD) and er...I must confess I am starting to turn to him, mostly because I want to know how he ended up by himself and if that had any effect on him.....or not!

I didn't mind Wheelie's rhyming (which is why most folks hate him) and thought he was no more or less an annoyance in the animated movie than Bumblebee was in the cartoon. Also in the illustrated book The Wild Boy of Quintesson (illustrated by Earl Norem) he had a necklace of Sharkticon teeth.

I must admit I've never understood the dislike folk have for Wheelie. The rhyming thing I always put down to a slight mental dysfunction - he was generally portrayed as having spent a considerable time alone, plenty of time to pick up some odd behavioural tics. He certainly doesn't annoy me as such. Its more a sense that he has never been developed enough to become an actual character. Hoperfully this Spotlight will actually create some characteristation for him - at which point I will be able to hold an opinion as to whether I like him or not.
