You're my hero, Andy. Great work, and the next issue box is fitting too.
Just one suggestion - I think the word "Megatron" should be in a much bigger font! (With maybe the final text box shifted down and left to make room.)

Fantastic stuff Andy. You've done sterling work with this. It cliffhangers so well too - that image of a ruined Megatron suspended works so well.
Great stuff!

Well you will have to wait... The question is, which will come first, the conclusion of this work, or ATAP being reprinted in Transformers UK Classics Volume 8? Martin

Hah! That would be a lofty (and unlikely) honour, but no it will be finished before UK Classics 8.

There will be three collected editions.
Separate volumes of the Parts and a bumper collected one. The dress for the collected one has already sort of been done, the two versions will be done like the US marvel comic, as I want to keep the gag going from US Issue 80 and have Issue 81 of a Four Issue Limited Series.

Thought you'd be pleased.
As I started to break it down, it ended up being a callback to the first page of part one in terms of panel layout. Unintentional at first, but I think it fits.

It's been a while, but we are back with the start of Part 2, or Page 25 if you will. COMMENTARY No trees were harmed in the making of the strip. Everything from layouts to lettering was all done on my new Macbook. When blocking out the panels for this, I ended up echoing the layout of the first page of Part 1, it wasn't intentional, but looking at it now it provides a bit of symmetry. You'll note again the lettering is in the style of Generation 2 from those excellent chaps at Comicraft (Richard Starkings and John J.G Roshell) who designed the look and lettered G2 back in the day. I always felt Another Time and Place was a good lead in to Generation 2, a much better lead in than the G.I. Joe issues. Panel 2, again not deliberately echoes Optimus Prime in his full melodrama from Yesterday's Heroes back in the Marvel run after the loss of Ratchet. Panel 3 - I am sure the eagle-eyed among you can tell me whose weapons I have drawn here. Panel 4 - Primus, in all his space-god glory, I went back to Transformers Issue 150 and his first appearance illustrated by Jeff Anderson. Andy

Layouts for Page 26 (Part 2 Page 2) have just been finished.
Off work on Thursday and Friday so will get the page done on one of those days. Was worried how to get this particular page to work, given the text sequence, but I think I have managed it. Points to the first person to get what inspired me when they read it.

Broke down page 27 and did layouts for that, and started looking at Page 28 and I might have to make my first change to the text.
There is a continuity error from him and it irks me. It has the line that was the second time he stuck it to Megatron, when in fact it was the third.

Lovely page there, Andy, really well conceived. And now you've begun Part 2 you appear to have got your momentum going! There is a continuity error from him and it irks me. It has the line that was the second time he stuck it to Megatron, when in fact it was the third. You certainly have my blessing for that! There will be more to come, such as where Prime blasts Battletrap in "his tank mode". Martin

Thanks Martin.
I remember that error as well.
The thing is do I draw Flywheels, or do I draw Battletrap. Sod it I will do both versions seeing as how the pages are being done digitally now there's no reason why I shouldn't.
Have to say it is the first few pages of Part 2 where it's heavy recap/narration by Grimlock with his eyes closed that were the ones I was most worried about doing. Glad the first of these tricky pages has come off as well as it has.

Layouts and lettering done and two panels finished.
I do seem to be getting back on schedule but rather than tempt fate I will try and keep to the one page a week even if I find myself ahead, as chances are that will not always be the case.

Third panel done. Fourth to be finished tomorrow, so will upload it next weekend (seeing as how I am away in Newcastle) and will work on the next page this week.
Touch wood, I can have the second volume print ready for Auto Assembly 2015!

Page Twenty Eight panel layouts done.
Current workflow pattern is (for anyone interested).
Panel Layouts, very rough rendering of characters. Lettering. (I do this first so I can fix art so it meshes better with the lettering) Pencil/inking - as it's all done on computer it's a mish mash of both. Sometimes i go straight from layouts to the inks if I feel really confident, other times there is a pencilling stage. Compositing - putting the lettering over the finished art.
