A company wide zombie crossover? I feel like I am back in 2007 again

Zombies don't interest me at all. But the prospect of TF's being written by someone other than Costa does. What to do, what to do...

I hate crossovers, and this one sounds particularly awful. The only thing that gives me any hope are the people involved (other the Schmidt).

It sounds wonderfully bonkers and Costa or MCacrthy are nowhere near it so it'll get an issue try-out from me.
Zombies usually bore me shitless but the IDW ones in the series I read (Zombies Vs Robots) were actually quite fun.
With it being a crossover it can be easily ignored if folk don't care for these things though I predict much nerd rage ahead.

I'd just like to see more good comics being written, but sadly duff projects seem to clog up the works, so I can see why some people would be frustrated.
But, fingers crossed.

If nothing else the bookend issues by Abnett and Lanning should be well worth reading, as they are both great when they are on form (and have mostly been on form for the last few years).

Licensing issues means we can't order the IDW Ghostbusters comics in the UK, so I wonder if that'll affect the bookends of this as well?

As you may know, I'm a big ZvR fan (<<< hence the username I use on here). I just don't like the sound of this at all.
I'd be interested to know how Ashley Wood feels about this.
I'm sure he's fine with it, I'm sure it will be fine but it just doesn't seem like the down and dirty ZvR universe would gel well with the shiny and mainstream franchises that the event will be linking together.

Have to say this doesn't really appeal at all. If I hear good things I may grab an iThing issue or two and then maybe wait for the trade(s), but it's not really something I see myself bothering with.

I agree with Kirei on this one- it's like an idea from 2007 or something. I'm sick to death of zombies, me.

Maybe with the Walking Dead TV show on the way they see more mainstream interest on the way and hope to cash in?

If anyone wants to give this a whirl there's an order page up on OneShallStand now. I'm investing in copies of the Abnett bookends and the Transformers part of the crossover, but I don't know if I'm brave enough to stock the Trek, Ghostbusters and Joe stuff. www.oneshallstand.com/shop/ongoing/infestation/infestation1.html

Who will be the first to say Infestation in my pants? Lol
I suspect the trade, when it comes, will comprise the entire Infestation crossover. So that would include the prologue and conclusion, TF Infestation 1+2, Star Trek Infestation 1+2, Ghostbusters Infiltration 1+2, and GI Joe Infestation 1+2.
If you're only interested in the Transformers part the individual issues might be a better bet.

Who will be the first to say Infestation in my pants? Lol Anything with Nick Roche drawing has always had the official designation of _________ In My Pants. Why we missed that for this thread, I don't know.

The first issue of the TF portion is out either today or tomorrow. Read a couple reviews, seen the five page preview... gotta say, this actually looks pretty amazing. About time I was looking forward to a TF comic again.

I am actually looking forward to this. Hopefully the digital edition will be out within the month and I'll get it that way.
I'm hoping we'll get a FUN Transformers comic for once.

If there's no news of a TPB by Auto Assembly, then I'll buy the single issues then

Some mess up meant that most copies of TF Infestation #1 didn't ship and won't arrive until next week. We got 1 copy in my shop.
I found Infestation #1 itself quite boring. TF Infestation #1 was better, more good artwork from Nick, but the story is still a bit pointless.
