There's nothing wrong with Unicron, and he could be awesome if done right. But I have no faith in that at the moment!

It's Costa. The story would take 36 issues for hee-haw to happen.
Glad to See Abnett and Lanning doing a mini too! And more Roberts!

'Revenge of the Decepticons'...? But didn't they win all but Earth in AHM?

'Revenge of the Decepticons'...? But didn't they win all but Earth in AHM? No, they lost the war in AHM, didn't you see that bit?

And more Roberts! -Ralph Hehe, if costa had written the animated movie, the first 3 hours would have been Unicron discussing the morality of his planet devouring behaviour with the inhabitants of Lithone.

Great. Infestation in continuity. I hate reading comics news and getting a sinking feeling, and, to my mind, the only thing in there that was good news was that Nick and James would be involved in more spotlights, and that's described as being a way off.
What will happen to TF comics when the movies go away? Will we get more good comics, or is the series in danger of disappearing somewhere else for another reboot, or vanishing altogether?

'Revenge of the Decepticons'...? But didn't they win all but Earth in AHM? Yes, but Megatron went all-in on the last hand and Prime had a Straight flush..... I am quite pleased to see Abnett and Lanning getting a mini-series, I am not really fussed about IDW Galvatron but they are good writers so there is every chance they will do something decent with him. I can't say the idea of anyone using Unicron again particularly enthuses me. It is an element that I pretty much feel has been flogged to death. That said, if Mike Costa wants Unicron he can have him as far as I am concerned. It isn't as if I will be reading the comic that it happens in anyway so it doesn't really bother me. As to what will happen after the third movie, I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see the current ongoing put to bed and a movie universe ongoing launched once they no longer have to worry about the straitjacket of not being able to actually do anything in that continumn. Reprints of the Allspark Almanacs is a welcome thing, especially as they swiftly became another classic example of the "heard about this product from IDW that you want to buy because you have discovered it was good? Tough, you have to buy our books sight-unseen if you want to have a chance of getting them at anywhere near retail price." Karl

There is a rumour over at the IDW about Spotlights by TMUK's own Nick Roche and James Roberts, but whether that means as a team or separately is unclear. Hopefully these rumours are true.
