Latest update: Package one is now in York and hopeful I'll receive my bill through the post today or tomorrow. The second package is still stuck in customs.

Ramjet and Cheetor arrived last week. As mentioned I elsewhere I was quering the bill but it seems correct, though the club managed to screw me over at least twice, but that's to be expected.
Sorting through the final costs now.

Firstly I made one order, but it was sent in two boxes so that doubled my custom fees, it also made the shipping about $30 more expensive, both boxes where half empty and could each almost fit the full order and the total weight wasn't that big to explain the split, so I can only assume it was because they didn't have a big enough box to hand.
Having said that if they could have found a bigger box they would have saved themselves shipping costs that I had already paid so possibly they did have some other reason as profit it the driving force. Then again the person doing the packaging probably didn't care about the companies profit and likely couldn't be bothered to find a bigger box.
But that didn't much matter much to me because the shipping came to $147 which was about $20 or $30 less than I actually paid. They use some service Endica or something which I guess must account for the difference, but what they could do to add that much to the handling costs I can not imagine.

Theres been a few on ebay not going for much more than the final cost of the group order. I suspect they were bought by US members and shipped here afterwards thus avoided being CUTA and the brand new TFCC-UTA.
On a completely unrelated note isn't it wonderful that Nick will be spending so much time in the US over the next few years.
