Lil Heroette has woke me at 4am wanting nappy change, feeding and a cuddle.
Jr is doing fine and settling in. At only a week old she has a favourite toy in a Land Before Time plushie. The cats are scared of her.
Typing with one hand whilst she sleeps across my other arm.

Perhaps you could start cat-napping during the day... I dunno.
Anyway this week I suspect I am going to be a postal bore. Yesterday (third Sunday running) Royal Mail were delivering. That's good but whilst I had something arrive I'd ordered for myself a few days ago, I'm still waiting on some presents ordered long ago. I suspect the older undelivered items are at the bottom of a very large pile somewhere. Not anything I can do but it's worrying. Next year I'm buying everything in September.

I too have items from several weeks ago still not arrived when items posted more recently (inc 2nd class) have turned up fine. It's very frustrating.
In other news, I can already tell this week will be a difficult week. It's not looking hopeful I'll make it to the parentals for Chrimbo either, going by current weather forecasts.

My journey home this evening was.... convoluted. Having heard there was an issue with the trains due to "emergency engineering works" I left work at quarter to five to seek out a rail replacement bus at Haymarket. Unfortunately the advice there was to go to Waverley Station and either join the queuing system for the one train an hour going to Glasgow or to join the quueuing system for a rail replacement bus. So, off to Waverley it was, arriving there and spending twenty minutes waiting for said bus. Then off by bus through the frozen reaches for an hour and a half to Polmont, four minutes train journey from Falkirk (the replacement bus was going no further and there were supposed to be trains shuttling about from there). Then a wait of twenty minutes in the cold and the ice of Polmont station for a train to cover the last four minutes of the journey.... Finally arriving at home at 7.30pm, after two and a half hours of what should be an hours journey.
That was.... less than fun.

Second day of the working week for me. Bit hectic as xmas approaches. Home now, looking forward to a few days off at xmas to recharge.
Still awaiting many parcels, need to go out tomorrow and buy a few last minute gifts. Elbows and hatred at the ready!

Another sleepless night. Did watch a bit of Star Wars New Hope with Blaise on my lap. I am introducing her to stuff that RULES.
Blaise is having that 24 hour eat-eat-eat grow spurt the midwife spoke about. Its been all go. She is also really liking pretty colours and really loves looking in the mirror.

Thought I was feeling better when I woke, only to realise I was drenched in sweat after overnight temperatures of -5 and lower. So probably not that well, though I definitely feel better than Sunday.
Still trying to clear and tidy the house for Chrsitmas but the best part of 2 years chaos is proving harder to sort than expected.

Hope you feel better soon mate.
I had a much better day today, much more straightforward in getting about for one thing. It makes the day feel much better when you can actually get where you need to be.
Even Father Christmas has apparently been defeated by the weather this year - the Round Table folks should up with their charity collection as normal this evening, but minus their Santa-Float-on-a-truck.

Seems to be getting back to some sense of normailty in Funfermalino regarding snow and transport and I'm finally getting some of my parcels, which is nice.

Today the postie bought gifts. Just waiting on two presents now (the two ordered longest ago). In other news there was quite a lot of snow last night, but it seems to be disappearing quite quickly.

Feeling better but its now struck the rest of the family. Mum and my brother were off work today. Outside snow returned, not huge amounts but its hidden the remains of the first wave from 3 or four weeks ago meaning the street is almost as lethal as it was last week when we had hundreds of meters of sheer ice in every direction.

Still awaiting a few packages, which will be post-Chrimbo now. On way back from sorting office after work the snow started again. 'Fuck' is literally all I can say to that.

I am still waiting to find out whether I am going to see family over the festive season at all. With BA only having confirmed their flight schedule as of today I am very much waiting for the other shoe to drop at the moment...

Oh dear. I find I need to turn the computer off at least an hour before bed and read to let my brain calm down. No Cafeine after 6pm. Camomile Tea last thing at night.
