It promised to be a gloomy grey Bank Holiday this morning. Then it started snowing again, and Cardiff is once more under a thin white covering. Cheered me right up, it did.

Quiet day at work, not helped by the office being flooded.
The most terrible insomnia night yet last night. I managed about 40 mins.

Had the misfortune of catching the last couple of minutes of Eastenders and witnessed the latest big storyline of stupidity.
Managed to get in an extra hour of sleep in the day whilst mom took Blaise out to her grandparents. On average I am getting shuteye from 3-6am. The rest of the time is getting the little un fed, changed and settled.
So many have said to me that a baby is hard work, I'd have to say its more sacrifice than anything else.
I did get a bit of time today to unpack ROTF Lockdown. A great improvement over the Animated figure and.. . more sturdy too.

Had the misfortune of catching the last couple of minutes of Eastenders and witnessed the latest big storyline of stupidity. It is, isn't it! I thought people were joking when I was told what the new storyline would be, but no! (For those who are not watching, the latest story is that two characters have had babies are the same time, one babie died, so the mum snuck into the other house and at the stroke of midnight, new years eve, swapped the babies!!) I have been watching Eastenders ever since Dimensions in Time

Office flooding chaos contines. We are now working out of a small room and the toilets gave up the ghost surely before home time.

I am just getting myself squared away ready to go back to work tomorrow. A very good time was had with family down in Surrey, and it was nice to have a chance to catch up with Phil, Liz and Johnathan as well. New Year was, as ever, great thanks to great company and good banter.
I have spent the last couple of days pottering around the house, doing a bit of shopping to refill my fridge and freezer and generally getting myself organized. That and digging my mobile phone out from the back of the bookshelf down which it had fallen. (I knew that would turn up somewhere or other).
I do feel like I have had a good break and am feeling quite well refreshed. Not sure that I would go so far as to say that I was raring to get back to work mind you....

Hello Sportsfans!!!!!!
Well, been getting well and truely butt fooked at work. But, despite that, had a good start to the New Year. Back to reality now, Piglet back at school (she's looking forward to it), and onwards and upwards with the house renovations. Honestly, a handsome young Transformers fan's work is never done!
Be safe out there, you crazy cats.

Been up late spending the last couple of hours of Christmas getting reaquainted with Big Trak for old times sake. This battle tank is as fun as I ever remembered it. Going to need lots of batteries for 2011.
Also took some time to Transform and admire my new TFs which is something I don't do that often even when I buy this stuff.

Bit of a bumpy start to 2011. Seasonal lurgy hit me and spent a couple of days in bed.
Back now, though feeling a wee bit grotty.

A touch of lurgy since Tuesday and a tough week at work leave me feeling rather drained. I hope to get through the day quickly so I can couch-pilate with the Friday takeaway and some DVD's this evening.

Still trying to make sense of the new 'normal' right now.

As you may have read we had a fantastic meeting yesterday where we got everything we wanted from the statement & school. Both old and new school were present. New school accepted all the offers of help Liz gavce them, all of which the old school turned their noses up at.

Further news: A visit to the Doctor today for tummy, anaemia and "other" infections has got me an iron count blood test and a trip to the Gastroenerologist. I fear I'm shortly to be the victim of a top and tails but it will all help sort me out.

I'm now having the same problem I had with the previous laptop where when trying to watch streaming video (ie youtube, iPlayer) it heats up and playback becomes choppy and unwatchable. Oh dear. Time to start saving for a new one.

Had some okayish sleep last night and even had a strange dream about what a live-action Combat Colin would be like. From what I can vaguely remember, it was awesome.
The custom Death's Head cape that my old Animated Lockdown once wore is now modelled by my newer ROTF version of the toy.
Been getting back into decoupaging here and there and have managed to get some breaks from crying baby 24/7 shifts.

Seasonal/swine flu now appears to have left my body, but I'm still exhausted beyond belief right now. Given the chance I'm sleeping over 12 hours a day which prior to this bout I'd done maybe a dozen times in my whole life.
My phone broke last summer and since then have been using an old one that was beginning to bug me so decided to splurge on something new and after convincing my network to give me 500 minutes and unlimted text and internet for £10 a month I found the phone I wanted at Tesco but after a week they had failed to restock and I began to think they wouldn't get them back before the sale ended. Anyway the nearest tesco phone shop to me after the city center was Cleethorpes which did have one in stock so I took a bus trip across the river on Tuesday. It was mierable day but some fresh almost sea air was very pleasant as was the 4 mile roundtrip from where the bus dropped off to the store. And then because I'd travelled so far to get it the staff alowed me to have the £20 discount which usually requires spending £40 in store or signing up with tesco mobile.
Afterwards my legs responded badly to the excercise and I'm still waiting for my phone to be unlocked but it felt like a good start to the new year and a good way to kick start my new diet attempt.

How's the leg doing after the injury last year? (I can't remember if it's ankle or knee - sorry!)

The ankles fine thanks it healed sometime during the snow and ice, which totally unrelated has almost all gone now, if I ignore the giant ice mound pile up along the side of roads.
