Has Unicron been gone long enough to become cool again yet? Between 2002-2008 every other post on here was slagging off his constant re-use.

Unicron has now been out of circulation in TF media that it would be fair enough to use him again (was the last time the 2nd BW mini: 2006? 2007?)*. It would have to be something different, though.
-Ralph *And TF-UK circa 2008, but most of the internet refuses to acknowledge the UK comic exists.

Perhaps in IDW, Unicron will be Lord Of The Kitten Planet. I think that would be a change.

Yes, or perhaps he could be made of fudge, living fudge. Live-in fudge. Fudge that lives with you.

Have they done Unicron is a cosmic dust cloud thing like Galactus in the Fantastic Four movies would have been yet? That's pretty inevitable.
In other news, I found the trade of issues 7-12 in the library today. I've made it through the issue where the big reveal was that it was Megatron narrating the issue which was obvious from the first thought bubble, but I don't know about the rest. I flicked through it and it has the issue where Thundercracker and Bumblebee have a nice conversation and it's stretched out for six pages of dramatic poses. And I may have glanced at the last page which has a robot 'dying' from one shot to the chest.

In the IDW collection in order - which is Optimus one shot in? Looked at the listing for all 4 & it's not listed on any.

Looks like Costa is going to improve by cowriting with James, good thing, but just raises the question of why he was there at all and why keep him around, bad thing.
I'm taking the trade of International Incident (issues 7-12) back to the library today, I couldn't get through all the pages of boring, boring US military humans and characters from seasons 1-2 of the US cartoon being generic and boring. And I'm taking a disproportion dislike to a quote on the back of the book from TFormers.com that says 'Mike Costa can write. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't been paying attention (or is itching for a fight)'. I mean, really? That's legitmate journalism? That's the best quote IDW could find? TFormers.com is a genuine criticial opinion website? Bah!

Anyone who says otherwise isn't itching for a fight, they're itching for a decent Transformers comic.
