I wonder what powers a Super-collector would have. Do you get turned into one by being bitten by a radioactive collectable, or is it a mutant ability that you have to be born with? Or perhaps there is a Super-collector Serum that the government have developed that one can take?

Someone paid a bit too much for a Raiden KO. Same seller had a few things up, and Headmasters are really going for silly prices these days. £58 for Weirdwolf?

I saw that early but it was a lot lower, still over priced though. That price is crazy I bought 2 complete ones a few months back for about £10.
The almost neon green is the biggest give away. I was trying to work out if there was a way of alerting the bidders as it looked as though the seller was deliberately pleading ignorance.

Yeah, the neon green, the yellow should be cream and the green on the white train is too bright.

Awww i knew i should of kept an eye of eBay these last few months! I missed out on that design centre! Last time i seen it it was going for way more! Ah well still got a perfectly working huge Soundwave Cassette Player for a tenner with one guy trying to sell it for 150 quid. Shockingly its still going for that almost a year on! Oddly enough on bargains i feel so good i bought one of these MISB for 25 quid including postage.... morbidly over-priced now?But hey for £9,900.00 and £200.00 P&P i could buy almost every G1 and G2 Transformer there is (obviously excluding the Japanese ones).

That would make refilling Toy-fu's inventory delightfully easy, but I sincerely doubt that lot are worth 10 large. Also, Bludgeon's missing his hat! Deal's off!

I really don't see the point in paying prices like that. They'll be available for a tenner (or whatever they're going to charge this year) soon enough. But hey for £9,900.00 and £200.00 P&P i could buy almost every G1 and G2 Transformer there is (obviously excluding the Japanese ones). The title says 99.9% complete, while the description says 99%. Which is it? I want to see his workings! (It always makes me smile when people describe something as 99% complete on eBay. What does that even mean?)

I thought the age of people paying mad money for pre-release figures was over.
They're not even in interesting prototype test colours!

Search for "Transformers DOTM" on eBay... there are loads of auctions running, each with loads of bids.
It's a nice legacy to leave behind. "Here lies Hayden B. Collector. He got his toys several weeks before anyone else. Died alone."

I thought the age of people paying mad money for pre-release figures was over. What has happened slowly but surely in the last couple of years is that there are people falling over each to review the new toys 'first' on youtube and/or the front pages of certain websites to get high numbers of hits/comments about how massive their cock is. It seems to be fueling this cottage industry. Alas, it seems to have caused a decrease of people reviewing figures just for fun. -Ralph

I think these Movies generate so much interest, it's easy to get caught up in it all. And I do lament the decline in "fun" reviews. One thing I do not like about a lot of video reviews is that the transformation sequence is shown in great detail. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but, for me, it spoils the fun of actually getting the toy. It'd be like a film review that gives every single plot detail. It's the same for comic reviews. The "big" sites get pre-release copies of IDW's comics, but after that, there never seems to be any measured (or less FIRST!) reviews afterwards. I can see desire in being the first to review something, not for the kudos of actually having it first, but rather to give a genuine recommendation to your friends/readers that something is worth looking out for or avoiding.

I agree with this, I mean when I do things for my site, I do them just for fun, I don't care if no one even reads them, and I certainly don't do things like that for news points or whatever they're called

There was a real sense of community for a while on youtube amongst the Transformers review people, but that's mostly fallen away in the last year.

I sincerely hope that our forum maintains its sense of community for a long time to come. We've done very well so far these last ten years!
