That amused me greatly.
And a seller from Dunfermline. Could this be Andu's previously unknown and long lost secret evil twin of evil?

I've been trying to get the Flattop robot for ages. I think I have a spare, I will check when next at my parents' house.

The ludicrous price of Action Masters Elites annoys me on several levels. Firstly, though I have a deep and abiding love of Action Masters, they are not worth that much!
Secondly, as I appear to be one of the few people on Earth with a deep and abiding love of Action Masters (most message board denizens go on at length about how crap they are) why do they go for so much? Hardly anyone wants them/likes them anyway!
I am going to destroy the world.

They go for peanuts on eBay Germany. Of course, usually in lots where the seller will only accept bank transfers as payment (these are free in most European banks, but cost £25+ per transaction in Britain).

£77 is way to much I've seen MOC ones go for that price.
I do want those legs though. Thats the annoying part of the Elites, without the add ons they really are just more poseable, not transformable. In fact Soundwave (and I assume Blaster) have better transformations based just on the figures.

Par for the course for a Battle Beast. They go for silly money. The collectors market for them appears to be small but with a high disposable income! I was going to start collecting them but looked into it and was shocked at the prices! Managed to snag a Sheep Commander for the relatively bargain price of a tenner at Transforce 2004. -Ralph

Ah, I see it's one of the crystal-chested ones. I'll make do with the normal ones sans-rubsigns from car boot sales, thanks.

Gold nothing, at that price it would have to be made of Platinum or something. Every time I think I've seen all the bonkersness that Ebay can offer, something like this comes along. Karl

Sort of puts the price of the Fun Pub Seacons in the shade, doesn't it?

Although, now I've seen it, the Fun Pub Seacons set isn't too badly priced for what it is, in comparison to other US/Japanese exclusives.

The Club Seacons are now sold out, so it'll be interesting to see what price they sell for on eBay.

Oh, I reckon it'll be 'name your price' once folk realise they've sold out, and even more so if BBTS run through their stock too.

I bit the bullet and got em just before they sold out. I think there were only 6 left after I got mine. I was really lucky as I wasn't able to log in for most of the week I was on just long enough to read there were 10 left and order it then couldn't get on for two days.

I was really surprised they sold out as the fan club stuff has been known to just sit there on their store. Also, I don't recall much excitement when the Seacons were originally moted for 2004 Universe.
I honestly thought the Seacons would just sit there with little interest. Nightbeat was the release I expected to sell out, fan favourite character and all.

The Seacons must have appealed to the combiner crowd, the Geewun crowd, the G2 crowd, the unreleased toys crowd and the Wow its an exclusive crowd. Lot a crowds.
As for Nightbeat I think the mold was a HUGE turn off to a lot of people. Then the loss of the ears was another turn off.
I get the impression from the club boards that FP have finally realised that just because a mold is perfect for a character update it doesn't mean it should be done. The toys need to be good. Astrotrain Airrazor and Nightbeat have all suffered from poor molds.

I hope to get Nightbeat before it sells out. I have Airrazor and I think it works really well. I'd like to get Astrotrain, but it's just too expensive. (Damn, I just realised how much more expensive Nightbeat will be now that the pound has dropped so much and the cost was the reason I hadn't already ordered him.) The Seacons never really appealed to me, I don't like that colour scheme much and I already have the originals, even if I am yet to get most of the accessories.

I entered the competition in the comic to win the Seacons and did not win. Not that I'm still bitter about it 20 years later or anything.

Oddly, I never entered any of the Marvel competitions. I never remembered in time to do them. I even found the Micromaster overs the four weeks and filled out the coupon, but didn't cut it out.
At least I've made up for it winning competitions in the Armada and Titan comics. Which reminds me, I've not yet entered this month's. I shall do them now.

The only Marvel competition I entered was for the Seacons! And they didn't give me any! Bastards!
I keep forgetting to enter the Titan ones. The only one I remembered to do was the Encore Jazz one. Which I did not win.
The world must be destroyed!

It wouldn't surprise me if they end up going for that much, but while BBTS has them in stock its rather premature.
