A second Soundbarrier to replace my existing one that had a broken hip joint. I wouldn't have necessarily bothered, but Nick was here and was passed one by Gavin for Toy-Fu purposes, and we all know what happens next...

Oops! I did it again.
After going cold turkey for a few months, I've fallen off the wagon.
Powermaster Prime number 5..... or 6?.... of the year acquired.
Its no excuse, but this ones for Toy-Fu.

Freed SS86 Hot Rod from his box prison. Absolutely stunning figure: easily the finest looking of SS86 so far. It looks like it just stepped off the screen.
Doesn't have a bulky backpack!
They can stop making Hot Rod figures now.

I agree with the good doctor. I too was impressed. And this despite having the (second) MP version, which seemed such a big deal (with the fishing rod and all) but which fails spectacularly in the shoulder department and the placing of the spoiler in robot mode compared to the mainline studio series. Really an amazing piece. Also made me reassess my prior grumbling about the size being deluxe, but price voyager. I get the sense that smaller size has been balanced by better engineering and show accuracy.

Aslo received my Transmutate yesterday. My first time with the mold, and the changes to make it the new character certainly make it more bizarre, but it's fun and I like it.

It's too intricate. It's a voyager in a deluxe's body. Looks great in both modes. All the SS86 style figures I've opened so far have been a cut above the WfC figures.

Hot Rods great, I just wish the shoulders had a bit more range. Hes smaller than G1 Hot Rod which is messing with my head though.
Not new but I opened DOTM Ratchet yesterday, one more step on the doomed path to a complete set of movie legends toys. Not my favourite legends mould, but the colours are nice and the lunar explorer/tank is much better than I remember the other toys from this line being.
Maverick from House of Fraser turned up this time in a box so relatively in tact.

Picked up a secondhand Thrilling 30 Roadbuster. First I've got from that range. More plasticy and ratchety than later toys but a great addition to the Wreckers; I don't see him being updated again soon.

When I... When I stood on and shattered the corresponding Whirl. Always something about those two together; since seeing them in a FORBIDDEN American catalogue the weird kid at school brought in one day.

You shattered Whirl? -Ralph I accidentally stood on him. He was in a box, in the garage. He fell out. I stomped in there, didn't see him, and- I'm sorry, I-. I can't talk about it...

Shit. I knew there was a reason I was going to pick up a Maverick when they were cheap - in case Reprolabels issued a kit to alter it into a Topper! Blasted memory - that's what happens when you have a shell fragment the size of a fist in your head. Pork Chop Hill, 1953. The only way I can make my goddamn toupee to stay on my head is by magnetizing the entire upper left quadrant of my skull...

His magnificence, Earthrise Sky Lynx arrived yesterday! Only wrapped in a plastic bag from House of Fraser, so the box was a bit dented, but since I got him half price I'm not going to complain too much, and the toy itself was undamaged, so no problem there.
Whilst I'm glad I held out to get Sky Lynx cheap, if I'd paid full price I wouldn't have been too disappointed. Jetfire, maybe, didn't quite feel like an £80 toy, but this space lizard has some decent heft, and a lot of good engineering, so I certainly wouldn't have felt quite so robbed. Very nice toy, just a slight shame about the mushroom pegs for the wings meaning that they can be a little loose. But overall very nice.

Maverick arrived. Box slightly squashed at one end so the tape had already popped. Guess it'll be an opener then...
