I believe a proper G2 Sunstreaker would either be virtually identical to the original (there were no other yellow bots in this wave), or it would be reversed colors like Sideswipe, with some crazy stickers.
That thread suggests that the lack of an assortment number in the URL means Bluestreak will be an exclusive. That and the fact his product number fits into the group with the Ironhide/Prowl and Alt Universe Prime toys. The July 24th embargo would have been SDCC weekend, which suggests Earthrise wave 4 would have been revealed there along with more exclusives. Which we could have guessed anyway. Maybe Bluestreak was going to be an SDCC toy.
That's weird. That suggests they're repaints then? Select has only been repaints, or repaints with new heads so far. The most significant alteration is Zetar's hat isn't it? Or was Nightbird remoulded? It's only Takara that have been doing large scale remoulding.
Cyclonus: a Test shot as opposed to a painted prototype but some of the aesthetics look a tad off. I wouldn't be surprised if this was Cyberverse or even Studio Series 86
Both modes are spot on, but you're right, even in that state it doesn't quite feel like a WFC toy. No hyper-detailing and much smoother. It's even more animation accurate than the WFC toys have tried to be. Looks lovely, but I think you're right, I think this is the Studio Series 86 look. It's too Sunbow for Cyberverse. So what does this mean, the Unicron release is getting a whole toy line to support it?
Yep, I was arguing on the Twitters that that Cyclonus looks like it could be more the SS ‘86 version, due to the styling. Someone pointed out the blast points, but as Ralph says, other toys have them too. So who knows?
