Close to Poundland fodder... I picked up these guys a few days ago, mainly because they reminded me a of a toy I had as a child, a number that transformed into a robot. I think I might have bought it in Benidorm; it's probably still up the attic. Anyway, these were £2 each in Smyths. Each number transforms into a vehicle, and all ten digits combine into a robot. Unfortunately, they had only 3, 6 and 9.

Woah. Those alt modes are a step up on the Letrabots.

I've mentioned these a few times before. They are amazing little toys. The transformations are so clever. The large combined robot is not as good as the vehicles though.

KO G1 ThunderclashLooks like brown instead of gold plastic, might be useful for replacement parts if it's the same size as the G1 toy. Description says damaged packaging and no small gun.

That is quite unexpected. The only issue is that a lot of the gold pieces on Thunder Clash are held in place with pins, so you're going to shatter them by removing them anyway. But that said, if the toy's going to break, then having this on hand for spares won't necessarily be a bad thing...

I picked up one of six amazing TRANBOT-360 toys in Poundland this morning. And even for a quid wished I hadn't. There is a picture of this piece of shite here (not mine) imgur.com/sD53wuGIt cannot stand up in robot mode and on the back of the box has a picture of it holding a sword with the wording underneath 'does not include weapon as illustrated'.

No, no. Complete shit is what you're looking for. There is no way on Earth this figure would ever stand up. I am sorely tempted to eject this fella from the window. The little rubber TFs remain Poundland's crowning glory. They are fabulous for a quid.

That's a coincidence - I bought one of these as the present for the birthday boy who I was doing a magic show for yesterday. He seemed to like it. (I also got him a monsters colouring set too).

Is that a Cyberverse or Authentics KO?
-Ralph

Neither! It's based on Cyber Series Starscream, from the line that was essentially the precursor to Authentics, Hasbro's first attempt to create toys for the... Poundland-type market. Naturally when I picked up versions of these toys they cost more than standard figures did at the time - but that's because Universal Studios parks started selling them as "exclusives" and bumped the price up accordingly.
Also, they've been around for a while - I saw them in TK Maxx last summer (I think). Although I possibly neglected to update this thread.
