Makes me think Apollyon should have been called Arkwright.
Ba-dom-tish.
He's voyager size isn't he? If he ends up in a Kapow sale in six months like Infinitor then I could be tempted just to balance the generations display up. I'd go for that over the leader Megatron.

Yes leader is too big for the Generations line up. I do love the IDW 'Infiltration' design of Megatron, but Hegemon does me fine, and I gotta save up with MP Jazzes, Sunstreakers, Sludges etc coming up.

It's MP Grimlock, only slightly bigger, a lot heavier and with a needlessly complicated transformation. No ta.

I can see it selling to the crowd who buy 3p stuff because they don't like the Hasblowwwwwww version of anything or it fits asthetically with some kind of collection they've got or the moon turned into a cat or something.

FANTOYS GRIMLOCK!!!!
To go with their MP Slag and Sludge?!?!
Hit me with some oversized Dino-goodness!
Fanstoys consistently produce very high quality toys. Yes yes, I imagine it'll be very close to the offical Masterpiece Grimlock. But as Scoria (and I dare say the upcoming Sludge) looms over Offical MP Grimlock, I'm going to need a Grimlock for my collection. And to fight my collection of transforming moon-cats.

Legends class you say.... Hmmmm Yes indeed. I don't know if I want them all, but that Grimlock could be tasty. Which reminds me, I need to order Iron Factory's Maiden. Unless I find out that that SDCC(-probably) set of Femmebots is going to be cost efficient to purchase...

That's what the feet are for in Scoria's box, I told you that! they're special MP08 platform shoes. Yes, yes indeed. Moon-cats are a real problem round these parts. If I'm having the other four this one's got to follow. Inevitably I think by their fifth release he'll be polished enough to knock MP08 into a cocked hat. Whatever that is. At least now we know for sure what FT 08 is. Which means Omega ain't coming any time soon. All numbers are accounted for now up to 13, and we don't even have 6 yet.

Oh I know about the platforms chumb! I just a) don't have a MP Grimlock, and b) from the pics I've seen, even with the platforms, MP Grimlock just seems to lack bulk and a smidge extra height that I feel the character requires. So I hope Fanstoys' Grimlock will have that little extra bulk. It's bulk more than anything else. I do think the platforms were a fantastic addition by Fanstoys.

I missed that this had happened but apparently the render reveal of X-Transbots Cyclonus got a lot of negative criticism for the legs, so they've redesigned them. Original on the right, new on the left (picture lifted from TFW2005 forums). It's a small change, but it doesn't half make a difference.

The difference is just the legs. The one on the left is more streamlined with a curved ankle. The original on the right is square from the knee down. Everything in the leg is slightly reshaped to make it less boxy.
Very much looking forward to this chap and Scourge. Then I'm hoping they do Kup.

So I got TW's Shinebug (Goldbug), Highway (Freeway), and Sideload (wideload).
I haven't assembled the combiner yet. I sorta wish that the combiner parts were an accessory add on pack, instead of beefing up Shinebug and Sideload.
I'm really pleased with Freeway. While not being very throttlebot-like, he's a good solid figure. Intuitive transformation that's complex enough to be a challenge, but not so complex that it's hard or frustrating. Great robot, great vehicle, great transformation. It's not without flaws, but it's fun.
Goldbug frightens me. We know Hasbro and Takara are aware of GPS, and tries to make GPS resistant formulas, and have gotten pretty good at it. But Shinebug is made out of really swirly gold plastic, and they don't have any first hand experience with the stuff. Beyond that, while a decent figure, he feels rushed as there are a lot of small things that just aren't quite up to snuff. All that said, he's a great update of Goldbug.
Wideload is a nightmare. There are horrors here that... that there are no words. No words.
No... w-words...

Couple of new pics of recent interest items. One, how big the War Within Op actually is, and two, now the MP Jazz is a prototype rather than a render he doesn't look quite so good.

Ew, yeah, that Jazz isn't so good.
And... despite being excited about that War Within Prime... I'm not so keen now. Mainly because I've gotten used to Transformers being drawn with decent proportions. I'd forgotten how over-inflated the Dreamwave stuff looked...
I shall have to amend my wants list: I don't want a War Within Prime, I want a Chaos Theory Orion Pax. Sheesh.

I still like it, and the fact it's beefy makes sense. Optimus would be much larger on Cybertron, it was only in Earth mode that he was separated into the separate Trailer and truck mode, so having him nose to nose with Grimmy there is quite apt.

Yeah, I get the beefiness... I guess I just prefer him the way that Alex draws him, to the way that Don was made to draw him under the Lee regime. Just personal preference, really...

There was a good question with that I saw on TFW2005 - where are his front wheels in robot mode? Now I look at that prototype I think it's incomplete. It's got no wheels, front or back, and there's no obvious panel on the shoulders for the wheel arch at the front.
