Bbts is selling them as a set and has two listings. $429 and $529. The only difference I can see between them is the $529 set, bombshell has a gray chest?

Yeah, grey chest was much rarer in the initial release and fetches a very high aftermarket price

These are long overdue another run. I got them first time round. I think they're among the best figures FT have done, if not my favourite. Absolutely perfect MP versions of the original toys.
Having got Spindrift 2 now and knowing they're doing another Perceptor, it made me think FT should have another go at the granddaddy of them all, Quakewave. But then I realised they're so set on the Sunbow scale now that he'd be too short, like the MP.
Anyway. Well past time FT got another new release on the slate. Nothing of what they've shown has preorders open now.

Preorders for the insecticons have started showing up. Hoping that ShowZ or Terry have them in the morning. From what I’ve read there aren’t any new releases planned this year as yet, but you can never tell with FT

The more I see this the more I think I might just have to bite. It doesn't go with anything at all, it just looks nice. I have the mould already, it's a chunky figure.

Errrrr.... Guys, you know 'iGear' (what happened to them?) did some Mini-Autobot characters. I still have their Brawn, 'Hench'. Nice figure AND scale-wise he goes really well with the new Earthrise Mini-Autobots.
Did they do a Gears? Cogz or something? Was it any good? And crucially what size was he?
I'm thinking placeholder. Can't find one on eBay though.
I had their Cosmos, but it wasn't very good. Not as good as Hench. Moved it on. I don't think they did a Windcharger.

Their minibots are MP scale, so they're the size of deluxes.

Found some photos on the intersnatch.
Yeah he's got the chunk. Hench is a 'small deluxe'. Same as Huffer. As I say he actually fits nicely.
Cogz seems.... I dunno, more stylised. A busier esthetic somehow. And seems a touch bigger -or rather chunkier- than Hench. Might work. As a placeholder.
Tell ya sumthin'- They gave him the option of a toy accurate face! His head spins right around to reveal it.
None on eBay which doesn't bode well.

Their minibots are MP scale, so they're the size of deluxes. Were they supposed to be Masterpiece? Because I have the Bad Cube Brawn, Brawny, and he is definitely MP. Hench is... Kind of neither. Neither MP nor older Generations. If I remember correctly, their first releases, Seaspray and Huffer, were smaller. But then they upped the size. Hench works now though with the bigger minis on the Marathon.

iGear was never one of the...better...3Ps.
Their engineering and QC was spotty at best. They often jumped tracks in the middle of something, and rarely finished full projects. Classics scale was what everyone focused on when they started the minibots, and they did overly tiny seaspray and powerglide directly to compete with Maketoys, who did the same thing. They jumped tracks though to becoming one of the first groups to shift to MP scale, with the rest of the minibots, and Ironhide and Ratchet. It was also before Takara and every 3P got such a raging boner for Sunbow, as such, iGear (like other 3Ps) had their own design aesthetics, and in this case went with the original toys as their base.
I said they were MP scaled. Not modern MP design standards.

Excellent use of the term 'raging boner'!
I'm going to use that more in conversation from now on.

It looks like if they gave doubles of the waist and upper thighs, you'd end ep with two complete figures.
I get the "swap out the parts" type action figures to "armor up" and such, but nor to this extreme, where you're only missing one or two spare pieces to complete both versions at the same time.

Further developments in the world of 3P. Fans Toys have finally got a new figure back on the release schedule but with a hefty price increase. Their Skullcruncher was originally due in Sept 2018, a month after their Mindwipe came out, and at the time would have been around £105 like Weirdwolf/Mindwipe were. Now Skullcruncher has been renumbered from FT26 to FT51 and is £180. The figure seems to be the same to me comparing old and new shots. Doesn't worry me because I was never in for MP Headmasters anyway, but it has caused a stir with those who seem to think retailers should foot the price difference on original preorders. MP certainly is an expensive game these days. I think I'm slowly reversing out of that type of toy and cutting back my expectations. Shockprowl's Season One Sunbow idea is a nice set to have, with a few extras like Omega and the other cars, and I'm about there with that. The question is whether to continue pursuing the Special Teams. I think there's a lot of pain coming in that direction if the rumours about reduced production runs is true. Getting an FT figure these days seems harder than getting Generations exclusives last year was. No fun.

Oh that...that is fantastic.
FP could have done something hilarious and amazing like this, but instead they chose to slap an SG symbol on it.
