The original MP Convoy's head was on a ball joint and popped off pretty easily. I can't say for sure about MP10 but I assume it can be done without breaking anything. -Nick EDIT: Hmm. Robotkingdom has Aurora (Searchlight) after a week's delay but no word on deliveries of War Hawk (Divebomb), while Chimungmung claims to have had War Hawk in stock for two weeks but Aurora has been delayed until "top of March", which I assume means early March. Both are based in Hong Kong. Perhaps the issue is production rate rather than shipping timetables considering the size of the companies involved. Chimungmung have put Hegemon's price up $5 as well. Grr.

Gosh there's so much stuff out there to tempt me to Divorceland!!!
I recently decided I wouldn't pursue Hexatron or the 3P Stunticons due to expense. But I reserve the right to change my mind!

I just looked up the price of Quakewave as I am generally ignorant of the 3rd party toy thing.
£130!!!! GET BENT! Does it come with a free *******?

I know, Ralph- it's crazy money. On the other hand it's only £10 more than the UK RRP on Lego Jabba's Palace. Quake Wave is $150 (£95) in the US, but that's without CUTA and local postage while Kapow's was included in the price. It's also not far off the price of an MP figure from Takara right now, with the Yen still through the roof and the pound still under the floorboards. It's also also a small run of a unique mould with several large die cast parts and two electronic light-up features, made by a small company with fixed design and casting costs and no international distribution hubs, presented in a nice custom box. Cheap CAD programs and 3D printers have made designing figures like this feasible for small operations, but it's still a massive outlay to produce a single figure. All that said, if I didn't have eBay money burning a hole in my Paypal account I wouldn't even have considered buying him. -Nick

www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/3rd-party-unlicensed-41/fansproject-intimidator-and-motor-master-revealed-176962/Fansproject's Motormaster (Vehicle only) and Menasor. I'm reeeeeeally feeling this. I think it's going to be along the same size as the E-Combiners. Motormaster is a little dissappointing, if only because I was hoping the cab would be the robot mode, while the trailer partformed into the menasor connetor pieces. But it looks like the trailer is entirely the robot, just like G1. I think Menasor is clever. Wildrider and Breakdown are just stuck on, while Dragstrip and Deadend are just partially transformed between robot and car modes. Thus, no scoutsized toy suffers from having a third mode imposed on them. Others may see this as a copout, but I think it's clever.

Hmm. Hmmmmmmmm. Not sure how I feel about Not-Menasor. Need to give it some thought. I'm not disapointed, but I'm not blown away either.

I think Motormaster's robot mode is either going to be extremely boxy or not much smaller than Menasor.
I thought $50 a figure for the limbs was a lot but not inconceivable for a deluxe-sized custom figure. Then I twigged that they were actually basic sized. Balls to that. If they do all five in a giftset that costs a bit less (at least to ship) then I'll consider it if I'm flush at the time.
I wonder how much Motormaster will be. I'm thinking $120.

I think it is a nice take on a classics Menasor. If I have the cash once I'm back from Japan, it is bought!

I think I'm with you on Menasor, Nickos. If there's a not-too-crazy expensive gift set I'll consider it. But otherwise he's just too much. I'm a big Menasor fan, but not at this price sadly.

I think Motormaster will be origami for all three modes. I don't think he's going to be much different than a standard voyager in robot mode. And truth on the limbs are that they're probably somewhere between scout and deluxe. Maybe more like a modern FoC/Prime deluxe (In other words, a large scout)
Not sure on his proce. It depends on how the parts get split out. If the hands and feet come with the limbs, it would help explain why they're on the pricey side, and it would lower his cost quite a bit. But yeah, he's going to fall in somewhere between $80-$120.

I can't wait to get one. Grind Rod is just so solid and well designed. I would jump for joy if Toy World got offered a contract to produce a collectors' line of TFs a la Four Horsemen and MOTU, but with less daftness.

They were responsible for the Megatron-alike Hegemon, which I am a lot more tempted by now that I've sampled their work. In addition to Grind Rod and Aurora, they've also done a Hardhead-alike hilariously entitled Hardbone. It's a lot more expensive than Grind Rod so it's probably about the size of a large voyager-class figure, or about the size of the original Hardhead. -Nick

Of course Toy World did Hegemon! How could I forget?! Hegey's great, looks amazing, his chest area/shoulder articulation could have done with some improving imo, but overall he's the perfect Classics Megatron. There were rumours of a Hegemon style Optimus a while back, heard nawt about that for ages though.

According to BBTS, TW's Hardhead will be 8" or 9" tall. So voyager/ultra. Somewhere in that range.

It's not far off the height of Quake Wave and Hexatron, or Universe Onslaught if you prefer a Hasbro-based comparison.
I want to order a couple of things from Chimungmung but they still don't have any Auroras yet! I emailed to ask if they had any idea when it was coming in and was told simply that "Toy World are always delayed" and that Hardbone (tee hee) is due to arrive on the 8th-9th of March and Aurora may arrive with it.
If Hegemon sells out before Aurora arrives I fear I may flip.

Hardbone... what were they thinking? What's next? Tightsack? Firmcrack?
I know he's expensive, and doesn't look quite as well done as the Throttlebots, but if you like him, get Hegey quick dude! You'll never need another Classics Megatron. (that sounded great, maybe Toy World should give me a job!)
