I'm running out of TF Fans on Twitter to "encourage" to buy this. I think it may have to be a "go on, go on, go on" campaign on Hopkins from now in...

And still 3 days to go. I think it will cross the £500 finish line without too much bother.

Plugging this on Figured Out and my Twitter soon. Already have on FB. I do like the choice of image shots and angles chosen here on the toy. Fort Max given his size is an obviously a difficult figure to photograph and composition impersonally. Whilst George and I won't be selling our Fort Max, we want to get ours photographed next to Blaise along with some other cool shots (ones to crop for a decoupage project ). We have on-off access to a screen, lighting and a 5D via brother-in-laws up and coming business so it could turn out really cool. £375 is great so far as the top bid. I'd be very surprised at the end if the auction doesn't skyrocket way beyond its target. Early days yet. At the end of the day all proceeds towards a very worthy cause and this giant plastic robot is going to bring a lot of joy beyond having a new owner. ===KEN

I called up the shipping company that handles all of Mary's Meals' gear in hopes they could give me an estimate for shipping overseas that was less... ludicrous than Parcel Farce Express Holycrap Dispatch. Unfortunately the new rules about charging based on size rather than as well as weight means I'm looking at megabucks no matter what method I use.
D'oh.
Still, plenty of enthusiastic bidders within the UK!
4 hours 18 minutes to go.

AWESOME!!! Did you win it Bertie? Remember it is not just a good price, it is also a HUGE donation to a worthwhile charity. It's like you are a philanthapist AND you got a free Fort Max!

Congratulations Bertie! You want me to look out for the scout cars for you? Maybe pick up a reproduction Master Sword? *cough* Okay. "Add-on" purchases are probably the last thing on your mind right now So let's see. Between myself and Mr Bogatan we raised £1646.47 at the con. Add in £560 from Max and that's £2206.47. Trish just mentioned on Facebook that Mary's Meals is getting another £700 from them, so we're looking at around £2900 overall, which is 40% up on last year! Since 2009, Toy-fu and Auto Assembly has raised £6969.55. Not half bad -Nick

I seriously think you should put together a 'press release' with some pics and send it to various TF sites, not least because it might inspire more people to make a direct donation

That. Was possibly. The quietist trip up to my gf's I've ever done. I won the auction and then got in the car. I immediately turned the radio off and sat in silence for the 1hr+ journey.
Join me over at my FM thread, as I sort this out in my head.
Althought, he looks pretty badass. And when you compare him to Scorponok, you get an idea of just how massive he is.
Elliott. (whiter shade of pale - still)
