If you get two of each and swap some parts around you can have a horrible army of them.

Paint Straxus' head like Skullgrin and vice versa, or to compliment the bodies....would be interesting to see Straxus in Skullgrin colours or with a black head....

When I can be bothered, the mostly grey one second from the right is getting painted or dyed green Marvel UK style. I might paint the other ones head red, maybe blue.

Green? You mean like when Straxus was in a fish tank?

Lego have those dome translucent shaped pieces that clip together, that would work great with his head....

www.fullmetalhero.com/showthread.php?403-Transformers-Generations-returns-to-the-UKGenerations is set to return in May 2011 with what looks like a one off special case mix being made available to smaller retailers through Hasbro UK
The case breakdown is as follows
1) WFC Megatron 2) Blurr 3) WFC Soundwave 4) Thunderwing 5) Skullgrin 6) WFC Cliffjumper 7) Scourge 8) Sgt Kup Loose the Megatron for a Warpath and it'd be complete love.

Smaller retailers...so we won't see these at the local Asda or TRU?

Woohoo! (A reserved woohoo, that is. I always like to err on the side of caution when it comes to Hasbro UK news.)
Assuming this comes to pass, that leaves Red Alert, Thundercracker, Wheeljack and Warpath unreleased; 2 of each would make a nice assortment. (Or perhaps put Drift or preferably Thrust - to up the Decepticon count - back in.)

Pity i already own all of them except for Soundwave and Cliffjumper. Otehr than Megatron which i picked up in a shop, the rest i paid just under 15 quid each to Kapow for.
Why does Hasbro UK force us to buy of others who have to import them inand then try to get in on the act when many people already have them? Currently have Blurr ordered on back-order at Toyz-and-games, should i cancel it? 14.99 compared to probably 10 quid or maybe less!?!
Ah well i'll but a couple extra Scourges for Sweeps, and an extra Kup and paint him into Orion pax or someone.

If this could be true and they get on with releasing some stuff, that would be great.

Shame Dirge is not in that lineup. Will certainly make a priority grab for Soundwave.

It looks like it's This US Case assortment so this may be imported stock. Bar Megatron, already on UK shelves, it looks a super assortment for UK retail.

I hadn't realised Skullgrin and Megatron were so close in colour. It makes Skullgrin look like Megatron's special bodyguard or something.

Hmm. I kind of regret importing a case very similar to that from BBTS and getting CUTA'd on it. D'oh well.

Weathering is needed, what with him being from the planet of junk and all!
Nice attention to detail with the grey heat damage on the motor!

From the new TF Vault book. It's the modified Takara design in different colours.

I see, but I don't see the inference that there's a US release unless it says so in the text?

The caption reads, "Unicron in planet mode, released for the twenty-fifth anniversary." Don't read the following if you're looking forward to seeng the book for yourself. I was happily surprised to see the other toy pictured on the page: the unreleased 1986 Unicron prototype. I don't remember ever seeing the planet mode before. It's actually quite comical to see the two robots side by side.
