I suppose it makes sense not have Thrust and Dirge overlapping, though it looks like Drift and Blur will but then they aren't on their 5th or 6th repaint.
I know its already been mentioned about Hailstorms wave coming in English only packaging, but I saw them for the first time today at Tesco and TRU so I really hope its a sign of things to come rather than an accidental import or some such.

I'd love it if we had US packaging. Proper Tech Specs! It makes sense to me to sell English-only versions in English speaking countries. There'd be no cost difference in manufacturing. I guess some toys might be distributed Europe-wide but as far as I know, they're normally ordered by the local Hasbro subsidiary. (Perhaps we suffer from both Hasbro Europe and Hasbro UK being based here.)
I was happily surprised that somebody had the sense to distribute the American ROTF Leaders in the UK. Not only did we get full Tech Specs but also better sound chips.

I thought he'd taken out a court order to prevent that ? Or did it only cover Ralph?

Hasbro UK's strategy for a long time - stretching back to Armada, but they'd been doing it regularly since BW - has been to only include the new toys in each wave. This represents a major change
Saw Gen wave 2 in my London LCS today. £14.

I think they learned a harsh lesson with the Movie line, where the main characters were only in the first wave and people couldn't actually get hold of them once the film came out. Ever since, some toys have been repacked, eg Animated Voyager Bulkhead in waves one and two and that ROTF wave that was released just before last Christmas that was made up entirely of previously released toys.

Yeah, with the exception of the BB being the earlier version and the case containing Wreckage instead of Bonecrusher, that first Movie assortment was as near perfect as you'll get for conttaining all the dlx Movie characters.

To be fair to Hasbro UK re: the first movie line, I recall that there was a shortage of the Movie figures and Hasbro US called dibs, and restricted stock that went overseas.

That's a lot of toys per wave! Wonder what the case assortment will be. If it's the same as the US then wave 3 is: 1x WFC Megatron 1x Darkmount 2x WFC Soundwave 2x Red Alert 1x WFC Bumblebee 1x Drift And Wave 4: 1x WFC Megatron 1x WFC Soundwave 1x Red Alert 2x Dirge 2x Blurr 1x WFC Optimus Prime So 2 each of the new figures and 1 of the restocks.

Looks like a miniaturised Alt Tracks, but less fiddly, and with more potability. Which is a good thing.
