Aquaman was actually a really decent book. Quite enjoyed it, Firestorm was damned good too. Superman - meh. Green Lantern: The New Guardians was a bit dull to be honest. Justice League Dark was fun.
But - JLI aside every team book's first issue is the setting up of the band. That is pretty tedious.

Think there is all sorts of very interesting fall out to come from Dc's new 52 both from them and Marvel.

As the new 52 has worn on, my purchases of them have dwindled.
Down to OMAC, Action Comics, Demon Knights, Justice League Dark and JLI.
Swithering with Batwoman, Animal Man, Batman.
Dropped with issue 2- Green Lantern, Green Lantern New Guardians, Firestorm, Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman, Justice League, Stormwatch.
Dropped on first issue - Teen Titans, Catwoman, Detective Comics, Superman, Aquaman, Red Lanterns

The only one of the New 52 I've read is Supergirl #1. Too early to judge as it's nothing but an issue long chase/fight scene, but I'm not a fan of the high boots and hotpants look.

I've picked up about a dozen of these on the assumption that *maybe* someday they'll be worth a few pounds.
Yeah, optimistic, I know.
My overall thoughts on the relaunch are mixed. Some of the books are actually pretty good. Enjoying Batgirl and Blue Beetle, right now, and the new Batman book is a great deal of fun. There are a few books like Aquaman and Nightwing that show some great promise.
However, I find a lot of the stuff I've picked up is only of average quality. Some of these books can and SHOULD be better.
The problem I have right now is that some of the high-profile books just aren't cutting it. Notably, Batwoman, Batman: The Dark Knight and Batman And Robin are all pretty clumsy reads. Stuff like Batwing, as well, just isn't nearly as interesting as it could be. This ain't a good situation, DC!
And of course, some of these books are DREADFUL. Birds Of Prey, Blackhawks, I'm looking at YOU!
For me, the biggest disappointment has come in the form of Animal Man. It's not my kind of book, to be honest, but the first two issues were sufficiently interesting for me to keep looking. Issue 3 falls flat on its face, however.
A common problem I'm noticing here is that the reduction in pages has hurt some of these stories. In many cases, the writers are either trying to cram too much in or pad things out too much.

Having now read issues 2 and 3 of Supergirl, I can say that it isn't terrible so far and actually seems to be going places. From what I've been hearing sbout the 52 in general, this strikes me as an accomplishment. However, is it a book I'd recommend? Not so far. I'll probably give it another 3 issues before deciding if it's worth carrying on with now.
