While Classics, Universe, Generations, Hunt for the Decepticons, Reveal the Shield, Takara, and Funpub exclusives have given us a ton of G1/G2 classics updates, the collection is far from complete.
What figures from other lines have you repurposed in your collection for a classics homage?

I've also added SG Galvatron to my G2 shelf, under the theory that he survived the crash of the Ark in the artic (I believe it was the artic?), and severely damaged, scanned a rescue chopper that flew by to investigate, in order to get himself out of there.

I think it was Canada where the Ark touched down towards the end of the Marvel comic, at least as far as I recall - it was winter though so there was a lot of snow and ice about.

Most of them Asia Exclusive Generations look like balls. I wonder why they brought out Classics Astrotrain and Universe Octane as triple-changers but any plans for other triple-changers are as double-changers.

Took me a bit to find this, and had forgotten it existed, as I almost started a new thread.

Been a bit obsessed with Beast Wars lately, and deciding to build it up with more prebeasts and cybertronians, by repurposing some of my "homeless" prime and movie toys as well as maybe some others, as prebeasts and/or new characters, and curious if anyone has suggestions or opinions?

So far I've got:

I'm having a really difficult time with the CW Autobot set.
All five are great toys, and all five are worth owning. But each character has a better representation already that I already own. (U. Prowl, DiE Ironhide, Cl. Mirage, U. Sunstreaker, Cl. Optimus)

Which brings me into repurpose territory. And this is the problem. I can't find enough characters to fit a team theme. (IE all five are gobots, ect)
Hell, I can't even find enough from the same era.

Prowl and Ironhide are moderately easy.
Prowl gives me several options, but all but one require minor repainting.

There's not really anyone else that wouldn't require a lot of work beyond my confidence level.

Optimus has Checkpoint and that's about the only option. White trucks are more uncommon than you'd think in either TF or Gobot franchises.

Moonrock - well its sort of truck like or Powertrain if you want to pretend red is orange.
Tote (arguably a better fit than Ironhide)
Freewheeler (theres loads of yellow micromaster cars, who knew, well aside from people who have been paying attentionto yellow micromaster cars)
Tailspin (or Barricade bit more of an extreme racer and also decepticon and pink) (or if you want to repaint Circuit from Sixturbo.)
Road Police (had to look that one up). If you want to keep it down to two sets pretend prowl is grey and go for Swindler.

I think I'm settling on aquiring three more Prowls as a squad of Autotroopers, and using Battlecore as Checkpoint.

Though Hans-Cuff and Clampdown are still majorly calling to me.

As we've gotten a lot of superfluous stuff and general updates but still neat toys, I've decided to construct a Robots in Disguise Season 2 display.
As the original was basically Autobot vs Predacon, "season two" will boil down to Maximal vs Decepticon.

I'm following many of the tropes that RiD set down. A super prime, a large loner autobot, an autobot trio, etc.
i've got strong ideas for my maximal line up, but I'm having issues on who my main decepticon villain should be.

My maximal line up will be:
• Optimus Primal- either PotP Optimal Optimus, or Throne Optimal Optimus
• Depth Charge (or new name)- Universe 1 Depth Charge (if I can get him)
• Maximal Trio- three U1 or Fox Kids BW repaints

Additional Maximals and Autobots will/may include either TR Alpha Trion or Legends/TR LioConvoy, TR/Legends Convobat, UW Computron. And I may fill out ranks with random CW/PotP molds, like Wreck-Gar, Blue Swoop, Sunstreaker.

But like I said, Decepticons are being trickier.
I'm putting PotP Unicrodimus Prime as the Scourge role.
And I'm thinking CW or UW Cyclonus in the Skybyte role (following his stated CW ability to pull any nearby TF into a combination against their will).

But I have no real idea for the main villain. Evil Black Prime Clone seems boring for a main villain. I'd love to use Botcon '16 TM3 Megatron, but that mold's been the main RiD villain twice already.

My friend suggests UW MegaEmpress as the main villain, with the other four being her royal guard. I am leaning towards that, but I don't wanna take her out of my Classics.
I'm also a bit at a loss for the Decepticon Trio. I'd love to use excess CW/PotP decepticons, but there's a complete lack of them.

Wow, this idea is an older one than I thought.

I'm now calling it RiD: 2020 and is set 20 years after RiD.
Many Autobots and Decepticons live on earth.

It will be largely Maximals vs Predacons, when the MegaEmperess appears on Earth and starts changing the timeline.
Optimus Primal and a team of maximals come back in time to set right what Megatronia made wrong.

Maximals:
· Optimus Primal- PotP throne Primal
· Depth Charge- Universe 1 Depth Charge
· Blackarachnia- U1 BA
· Steeljaw- U1 Snarl
· Skywing- U1 Skydive

Additional Maximals
· Onyx Primal- TR/Legends Convobat
· Alpha Trion- either TR Alpha Trion, or Botcon Alpha Trizor
· Cheetor- (there are a dozen to choose from)
Looking at any U1 Beast Era and RiD repaint, but at a loss for ideas how to use them.

Decepticons
· Megatronia- Self proclaimed Empress of the Decepticons. It is unknown where she and her Royal Flush Guards came from.

The main trio and their leader, I'm at a loss for. Either CW or UW Cyclonus, or Cloud Shockwave.
And no real idea who their minions would be.

Additional decepticons
· Slipstream & Thundercracker- TFSS Slipstream and Arms Micron TC. Sisters. "Slippy" ("slaggit, I told you not to call me that, Teecee!") has #Goals, and wants to make a name fore herself. More than a bit of a troublemaker. "Teecee" however has low self esteem, and just wants to write fanfiction. She also slouches. She would be happy to just live a normal life on Earth. You know, get a job as a privet jet, or something. At least until she makes it as an author.
(I adore these two)
· Roadkill- PotP Unicrodimus Prime

Also:
· Galactic Man- Gen Select Galactic Man Shockwave. He's a superhero who travels from planet to planet saving the day.
May or may not be secretly a decepticon, and this is a scam. May or may not be Skybyte's brother. I haven't decided.

I've got a bunch more that I am lacking ideas for.
And I'm lacking in both molds AND ideas for Predacons.

I had a really stupid idea.
Botcon Mudfighter:


Repurposed as Beast Wars Murderbee.
The result of one of Megatron's cloning experiments, Murderbee is bold, silent, brave, and a skilled fighter. He is the Predacon Soldier that Megatron was striving for....if only he didn't think he was the reincarnation of a particularly violent legendary Autobot from a parallel reality.

Now the fool has run off to join the Maximals, turning his violent tendencies on his former Predacon comrades.

Wreckloose (Beast Wars)

Born out of Tarantulas' third attempt to create a loyal arachnid minion, Wreckloose worked out for him about as well as Blackarachnia. But hey, at least she's not another Inferno.

To call Wreckloose a loyal Predacon would be pushing it, but she generally has little problems furthering the Predacon Cause, as long as she gets to do it her way.

Unfortunately for her, her preference to stay in the shadows and out of sight, often has her assigned saboteur and spy work.
But her real interest lies in phobias and psychological warfare. She rarely engages in direct battle, and will use her opponent's fear as her primary weapon against them, forcing them into her web. Once caught, she takes great delight in driving them to the brink of insanity, before consuming their innermost energon.
The terror makes it taste so delightful.

Her colors remind me a bit of Cybertron Wreckloose, and Wreckloose makes a really good pun name for a spider.

The vehicle modes have to be as close as possible to the originals. It doesn't matter if they're Minicons.
Other than Pretender Vroom and Animated Samurai Prowl which Transformers have a sidecar?

Which Transformers would be a good repurposing for the Throttlebots?
Ideally, the robot mode transformation ie. the car roof is the chest, the car front makes the feet, and the vehicle modes have to be as close as possible to the originals. It doesn`t matter if they`re Minicons. The robot mode similarity is more important.
Goldbug doesn't matter as much as he's already been updated.
