That would fit with the implications of some of Hasbro's previous statements - that they aren't planning to release the same characters in Universe as they are in Animated. Also, Masterpiece Thundercracker - interesting. Might hang fire until we we what the colour scheme is going to be on that before I committ. Karl |

It's Tokoyo Toy Show time already? It seems like Shizouka was only yesterday! That Nissan looks rather nice. The Thundercracker I feel so-so about. I will await clearer pictures before I draw any conclusions about it I think. Karl |

I saw a picture of Nissan Bloke next to deluxe '08 Bumblebee and they were the same height. Given the level of detail crammed into some of the deluxe movie figures I reckon that's a good size for it. Also it means they fit in with the movie line that (judging by sales figures) there are a lot of in the potential market for this fella.

Definitely getting Nissan Bloke. Sideswipe, too, looks nice and sleek and I like the deep red colour. Not convinced yet on Ironhide/Ratchet... looks like too many disjointed panels in vehicle mode.

Indeed - the concept sketches that were floating around for Ironhide looked quite good, but that artwork does seem to suggest that he hasn't quite lived up to his concept art unfortunately. The Nissan does however look rather nice, and depending on the price point I can see me thinking about getting it. (Price is going to be the make-or-break though). Karl |

I don't know if anyone else has seen MP Thundercracker's "special" face but......failure.
Thundercracker is supposed to be the thoughtful albeit slightly cowardly one of the group. Disliking his role as a Decepticon warrior but prefering to live rather than be a victim of the Decepticon onslaught...
And they give him a "special face" which is...umm... which looks like he's visiting the Dentist.
But come to think of it- doesn't MP Prime have the exact same "saw aaahh" look on him when you take off the face mask?

Pete I haven't seen that (actually haven't seen much in the way of pictures of MP 'Cracker, but then I am fairly unobservant at the moment) but it sounds...different. Mind you, MP Starscream has an alternate face which made him look somewhat constipated so I guess it is par for the course. (I have never bothered with the alt-face on Screamer. But then, he spends about 95% of the time in fighter mode anyway so it wouldn't make any odds. Karl |

My MP Starscream actually spent a fair amount of time in both modes; as did Skywarp, recently, when they participated in the Third Beast Wars...

All the 25th look good. G1 Starscream is a bonus as I was planning on going henkei for that look. Cyclonus suffers the same problem I have with Hotrod in that the designers completely missed the point of the sleekness of the character and added way to much mecha looking stuff. Except Rodimus suffered it in bot mode. Shame.
