Picked up this recently and from what I've read there's more? Does anyone have any? Firstly I'd love to know more about them if someone knows and secondly would like to buy or swap stuff if anyone wants to get rid of them.
They are quite a rarity indeed. I'm surprised I've been able to get as many as I did considering how often you ever see one. The conditions vary but are mostly fantastic, just some slight yellowing on some. No pages missing, writing or cuts so that's great!
If someone can get me a copy of the #130 edition I'm happy to pay well and include some extras from the rest of my collection.
And of course, if anyone ever spots or discovers another, please post it in here
On the art side, I'm quite the opposite. I like the fact that they are distinctly different from the others. If you have the originals, you get the best of both ....especially considering these are few and far between.

I have to give a big thanks to this thread as it's made the Berni's Inn piece I'm writing today more interesting/confusing than it would have been.
The two issues I won on Ebay this week (101 and 107) are both completely identical to the mass release versions, complete with Captain Rikk competition in the later. Which made me assume they were run in the Inns the same week as their general release (ie, Marvel didn't specially pick some old highlights), else they'd be annoyed by competition entries weeks or months after it ended.
The "Same week" thing would also tie in with all the picked issues being Part 1 of a story, hooking the kids with a free sample and making them pay the next week for the conclusion like some sort of Mr Big in Live and Let Die.
So discovering at least one of the issues was changed more substantially is excitingly to find out and throws up questions (was at least 130 published later than it was originally? Were they all and this was the result of complaonts about previous issues having competitions in that had ended? Was it just random?).
Do you mind if I borrow your pic of the Transformation page to 130 for Transformation Jaymz?
I did try and work out some sort of pattern to the issues (did Berni get one a month in rotation with the other Marvel titles on offer? Actually, them hanging around the chain for longer than a week would explain the competition deletion even they did originally come out the same time as their numbered counterparts), but it does seem almost completely random. Though the longer gap before the final one suggests there might be at least one other unknown out there.
Incidentally, extensive research (Googling) can't find any evidence of any titles other than TF and Doctor Who magazine being used for Berni Fun Time.
