Resolution issues are why I now wait a month after IDW comics come out until when the price drops. Poor resolution on lettering does annoy at times.

I don't get that I can scan a higher quality image with minimal effort from a paper copy than the low-res junk they chuck out.
I did buy a load of reduced price comics that I'll read later on comixology, but I'm not giving up hard copy until they level things out.

Indeed.
As for the series, I will now summarise parts 5-6.
Shockwave: "YOU ARE MINE, GRIMLOCK! MINE! MINE! I WILL TALK AT YOU FOR 16 PAGES TELLING YOU JUST HOW MUCH YOU ARE MINE NOW, GRIMLOCK. I MAY SAY 'BODY AND SOUL' MANY MANY TIMES! YOU ARE MINE! MINE! MINE! MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!"
Grimlock: "UGH!"
Repeat for 16 fucking pages!!!

Why can't comixology produce a HD version for PC? Answer - because they are crap. There is really no excuse now with w8, just lazy. I agree. Although the worst digital platform for reading comics is iBooks. God it's awful. Andy

Without giving away too many spoilers for the game - issues 5 and 6 basically hinted at bits in the game and kind of gave a different explanation of stuff. Spoilers ahoi hoi! In the game: Starscream releases Grimlock back enraging him - hinted at. Shockwave increased Dinobots rage by enhancing power and reducing intelligence, he did not imply he was using mind control, merely physical control (such as forcefields/planning ahead to trap them).
and - MEGA SPOILER: One of the key scenes late in the game - Grimlock chomps off Shockwaves arm in a surprise attack. Serious the game is freaking awesome!

YOU ARE MINE, GRIMLOCK, MINE!
We love you John Barber, but the ending was pish.
Bloody good art though.

Yup, I want to see more from him on Transformers.
If we get a Regeneration 2 I'd like him to draw it.

I guess once you've read Victory any other tale of the Dinobots unconscious minds pales in comparison!

True.
It does not dimish my admiration of Mr Barber though, who I think is doing a bang up job on TF. Arguably the best editor the series has ever had.

Indeed, Barber has done cracking work with Transformers and I have a lot of time for him.
I suspect that some of the resonances of this story may be lost on me when I do read it, not having played FoC and all. I am now wavering slightly on purchasing it as well from what is being said here about the ending. But then - other Barber written Transformers comics will be available for my digital purchasings anyways. And at the 69pence price point I may well try it anyway seeing as it won't be hurting the wallet anyway....

At 69p a pop I still got enough out of it to gain enjoyment. I suspect later chapters were hobbled by the need to tie into a game and the art is cracking anyway.
