See New Aquisitions. Saw both in Entertainer Kingston last week. I know, I was just trying to reassure those who were concerned that the chances of getting one were slim (myself included).

Found Fracture in an ASDA in Crawley, but no new legends. Did grab a Big Daddy though, just 'cause I'm on a Micromaster binge at the moment. When did you buy Fracture? I was in that store on Saturday and couldn't find her at all. I wonder if they put out a few more since I left.

This thread is turning into the non-sightings thread for me. Stiiiiiill no sign of the movie Deluxe in the local Asda, but they did have the new Legends (as did the Cardiff Bay one, which I forgot to mention the other day). No Transformers left in Sainsbury's either, but the only price label on the shelf was for Legends, so at least I didn't miss out on the Animated Deluxe, if you see what I mean. The half price offer ends tomorrow. Has anybody actually spotted the £2.99 Activators in Sainsbury's yet? (They're in the Christmas catalogue.)

Activators are in Entertainer stores, for the princely sum of £7 each.

Woolies Clydebank had loads of Animated Swoop and Sentinel Prime. Today's random Animated price-point: £8.99.

I went to another two Asdas in Cardiff. Still no sign of movie Deluxe! However, it seems that whenever I go to Asda looking for the movie toys, I find something else. This time it was a couple of different Animated art sets, similar to the A4-sized movie sets that frequent eBay, "half price" at £1 each. One of the Asdas was one on a new retail park, where there is also a new Smyths Superstore. Smyths is not a chain I knew of, so I was excited to find a new toy shop almost as big as Toys 'R' Us. They had a good Transformers display. Alongside a decent range of standard fare (Animated, Universe and Fast Action Battlers, with SWTF over in the Star Wars section), there were some unusual items, at good prices: Bumblebee vs Barricade "First Encounter" set at £17.99 Robot Heroes "Decepticon Sneak Attack" set (the 5 pack with Cliffjjumper and Skywarp) at £6.99 3D keychains of Barricade and Megatron at £3.99 each (like the Optimus and Bumblebee I was selling at AA - I didn't even know others had been made) Animated Pinball at £15 (so actually dearer than elsewhere) Boxes of movie stickers at £2.99 The Japanese release of movie Deluxe Brawl at £9.99. TK Maxx in Cardiff was also a Transformers hotspot yesterday. It looked like they'd had a full display near the door, but there were just a few odds and ends left when I was there. The star item was probably this unusual import for £4.99. I also picked up one of Metrodome's DVDs for just £2.99. The other items were Risk and one of the sound effects story books. Elsewhere I found a Deluxe Pinball Machine, but at £59.99 £39.99 it was unfortunately still too costly for me.

OK... It was the first time I've heard of this, but in TRU Bristol (Cribbs) yesterday they had the Prime vs Megs 2pack Classics Figures from last year individually packed as Universe deluxes

They could at least have recoloured those horrid horrid molds if they're going to do that

This is old stock, it ain't anything new. They've been seen before - I think nigel had some at one stage about a year back. They're getting recolours (minor in Prime's case) as part of the Universe Special Editions range

Those I had last year were in Classics packaging, though, not the Universe that Stomski's reported.

I thought I'd read on the 2005 boards they were Classics. Can you clarify Stomski ?

I didn't get a close look, but I did think at the time that it looked classics-esque.

How much are they, old Classic deluxe price or new gouging Universe deluxe price? I still (God help me) quite fancy that Megatron and missed the chance to get one without that dreadful Prime last time around. I might bite if they are old stock resurfaced and are still at £9.99. If not I'll take my chances and wait for the next special offer.
I know £3 difference isn’t *that* much but I refuse to pay a 30% mark-up on the principal that it is completely unjustified, especially when the much better Animated deluxes are still only £10 (and indeed I haven’t – by being patient I’ve managed to get every Universe deluxe I’ve wanted so far at way below RRP thanks to the many sales we’ve had this year).

On the subject of Movie Deluxes at ASDA there are 2 stores close to me that still have some.....
ASDA Living in Newport Retail Park have some left, Breakdown, Crankcase & Divebomb from memory, plus ASDA Cardiff Gate got some in the other day. I picked up Grindcore for myself as that was the only one i didn't have.... i think they've still got Fracture, Crankcase & Breakdown and possible a Big Daddy remaining. Shame they're not on offer though... i hated having to pay £10 for them :-(

Cardiff Gate, eh? I guess that's the one Cardiff Asda I haven't tried, having looked in Coryton, Cardiff Bay and the new one at Leckwith. Well, if they're there and Newport, there seems a good chance that they've arrived in other South Wales stores this week. I shall hopefully have a look in Bridgend this afternoon.
Ah, but it's not unjustified from the retailer's point of view, as the wholesale price is higher than for Animated. The retailer's percentage markup for Universe is roughly the same as for Animated.

STILL NO MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahem. But as I said before, every time I go to Asda looking for them, I find something else: the Starscream Barrel Roll Blaster is now just £10.
