ooh. quick. Now what can I add to get free postage... I was planning to double dip on the TR Legend Deception tapes anyway so i added them and didnt mind paying the £3 for postage at that point. If I hadn't just paid £80 to Jetty for Velocitron I would have gone for Liokaiser or the Platinum Heroes set to get free postage.

Oop. There's another one I got excited about and then forgot all about after it turned up. Where have I put that then.

I had a shot of Phil's and it is superb. It's not £70 worth of superb, mind you, but it is very very nice. The colours really pop when you see it in the plastic.

I wouldn't have bought it for that. Mine came from TFSExpress for £45. I've found it now, thankfully.

I do often shake my head at Kapow's prices.

That one looks reasonable. Japanese convention exclusive, whack on shipping and customs.... Looks reasonable to me.

I think the point is that unless the retail price has gone up from the original issue, the prices this time round are somewhat inflated on what they were when no one realised this would be a sell out. TFExpress originally had this for £45 when I got it, now they're offering the second run at £60. Kapow didn't have this at £70 first time round did they? I'm sure it was closer to fifty. So either the second run is more expensive at source, or the importers are capitalising on the desirability of the figure.

I suspect the later: if the wholesale price wasn't more expensive someone would have broken ranks and flogged it cheaper to get the business.

Find me somewhere selling it cheaper.
We said the same about the Chaos on Velocitron boxset and look how much that ended up costing to get into the country.

Well I did point out TFE are selling it for £10 less, but then it comes down to the routes through which these toys get here. ID's Chaos on Velocitron business was an odd revelation. The fact they have agents buying the sets for retail in TRUs in the US, then shipping them over here with all the associated taxes. Bonkers, but a great service for customers who want it. I like ID a lot.

I personally avoid Kapow. Their prices are too silly and I wasn't impressed with their attitude when they used to post here. Other retailers are available.

I've had enough customer service issues with them in the past that I tend to view them as a last resort. I buy elsewhere if I can.

TR Trypticon available from George.com. £150, so Tescos is still the best option, but worth keeping an eye on as the site does have sales.

Tryps is currently £134.99 on the Smyths website, so should be the same price if you can find him instore. Smyths also have a sale on next weekend that I have heard is either a £10 off a £50 spend instore on everything or a 20% off everything sale, I am not sure which one yet.

Smyths finally have the Allspark Tech figures as being listed as being in stock on the website! I'll have to hit one tomorrow to find out, and make use of that tenner off to buy a couple...
