So, in an attempt to not let Andy take over this board, I'll start the first of my non-TF art threads, showcasing my other big fandom: the Final Fantasy series. These are going to be taken from quite sometime ago, but I think it'll be interesting to see how I've developed, eh? EH? Most recent: Oerba dia Vanille, from XIII. Then an odd little thing where I redesigned and chibi-fied Cloud Strife from VII. Jecht from X. I had meant to give a copy of this to Gregg Berger the first time he was at AA, but felt that this sucked big time. Freya Crescent, based in IX. Very old picture. Doubtless I'll be seized with the urge again at some point, but until then...

So, if one of our esteemed Godmods could change the title here to an all purpose art thread type thing for me I'd be so grateful! Right... Before I vanished last week, I was asked for a MLP style thing... what do you guys think? Apologies for the bad qualities, Mr. T knows about the issues my scanner is giving me.

Very nice indeed. What are you using to colour that?

The pony is coloured with ProMarkers. They're the best pens I can get on my budget, but they don't scan too well.

Interesting. They give a kind of water colour effect.

Have a Stitch. Unlike ponies, I will never feel ashamed of arting Stitch.

A stitch in time... and all that. I'm not hugely familiar with the source material of a lot of the stuff in this thread - beyond being vaguely aware it exists in the case of MLP and the Final Fantasy series(and knowing Stitch as "that thing in the Disney film my young cousins liked). But viewed purely on their own merits there are a lot of fantastic pieces here indeed.

It's odd. I have no interest in MLP, (tried it, didn't grab me)but I was told that it's one of the best ways of selling fan stuff. So I've had a pop, and... it's kinda scary how easy it comes. Much easier than Rocket or Stitch.

Things is, if it comes fairly easily and you can make something commissionwise out of it, it means you can use it as a break away from subjects that don't come so easily. I know this from writing as well - sometimes something just flows, and sometimes blood is sweated, and it doesn't necessarily correlate with the strength of ones investment.

That Stitch is brilliant.
The film is sadly under rated. One of the best things Disney ever did.

Just done for a friends birthday. <edit> Thanks Phil! Bit of an oldie, but with the top five Jazz toys, I thought I'd crack it out...

I feel it's worth pointing out that I had a moment of idleness which Andu now owns. I didn't get a scan of it so it's up to his discretion whether or not you get to see it.

Have a Doctor. Don't quite know how well the likeness stacks up, but I think I've capture the essence of Tom Baker quite well...
