When I said the RTS Windcharger was damn near perfect, I of course meant in as much as any of the so-called CHUGgers are as updates of a classic character which honours but is not a slave to traditional design. The RTS Windcharger was designed to be Windcharger first and foremost, so the repaint of the new Tailgate, who was specifically redesigned to up the "adorable" factor in line with his new personality, doesn't fit the sassy Windcharger at all IMO.

Skrapnel is here and as I've said in the other thread I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!
BRILLIANT!!!!!!! I can see why you love these figures, Big Phil. But I do think CJ's right about the size. Reflector's fun, but fairly pointless, that cash should have gone into a Scout sized figure with the added complexity and a smidge more size/mass/bulk.
But as he is I love him! Can't wait for Bombshell! And please do a Kickback!!!
I may have a look at some of these other Generations Legends....

Get Swerve, Cosmos and Tailgate in that order

Yeah Swerve is a must buy, a perfect example of why I have always liked the basic/scout class toys. Hopefully will get the rest eventually.
Should have picked up Tailgate and Skrapnel when I was in Orbital a while back.

Even though the "Minicon" companions were a cool gimmick (Show me someone who doesn't love teeny tiny Waspinator and Chip-Shop and I'll show you someone with a dead spark.), if their absence reduces the cost of the main figures then I won't complain too much.
Of course, it won't. And we'll be paying £12 for something smaller than a scout. But hey, welcome to 2015...
(What? No, it's not too early on a Friday morning for that kind of cynicism.)

I got Swerve and Cosmos. While they're too small to be useful for anything I can think of off hand, they are pretty great toys. And while every single minicon from this line has yet to impress me, these two make really great guns.
Would love to see these two repainted. They're both a pretty good size to be repainted as RiD Slapper and Darkscream. And I think a darker red with metallic flakes would make Slapper different enough from Swerve. Cosmos would also make a really good Dead End and Scrounge. Wouldn't be a half bad Pathfinder, id she were in the right colors.

While I still wish they would dump the minicon "triplechangers" and use that budget resource to make the core robot a better toy, I've accepted the fact that this class seems here to stay, in spite of an extremely pointless start. (We've waited 7 or 8 years to get a toy of EJ Su's Starscream design, and when we do it's this useless toy that doesn't fit ANYWHERE.)
What do you hope/wish to see produced from the Generations Legends class?
It'd never happen, but I would really love to see the Spychangers pop up. Maybe drop the minicon, and do a two-pack at the deluxe pricepoint with normal weapons.
Wheelie
Finish the Insecticons

While I still wish they would dump the minicon "triplechangers" There's a good chance they have: Nine of the 2014 Legends were shown with partners. I can see them doing Wheelie as a Bumblebee repaint.

Finishing the Insecticons is a priority.
A more G1y Bumblebee, remold/repaint as Cliffjumper. Huffer, Beachcomber... complete the G1 Mini-bots really. That'd be fab.

I know it won't happen, and it probably shouldn't for the good of the line, but I'd rather see whatever they do homage the G1 toys instead of the IDW figures where they differ greatly. Then we'd have a Windcharger coming that looks like Windcharger.
However apart from that, Kickback for sure and any of the minibots at an equivalent brilliance to Swerve.

Yes I would much rather have a G1y look than an IDW look. Especially as I don't read IDW!

Whereas I, on the other hand, do read IDW, and as such would love to see more IDW figures. Since I've been collecting Transformers right from the start I'm not particularly bothered by scale. I just want to see some fun, IDW-inspired figures. Which may well be tiny, but it's a good price-point, and I'm finding the smaller figures to be more fun these days.
As to which figures... Well, all of them. In their IDW styles. I don't ask much, that'll do. ;-)

I am quite fond of this sort of size class in theory. My now very limited budget, and concerns of storage space make them - like Cyberverse toys - much more attractive to me than some of the larger toys. From my perspective they "fit" far more than something like Generations Sandstorm and Springer do. Those may be very impressive toys but they have a fair "footprint" which is becoming an issue for me.
As to whether they should resemble IDW or 1980's versions I am kind of split on that. I don't mind reinventing the look of things, and the IDW versions are probably more appealing to the "current generation" of Transformers fans, than things which hew more closely to the 80's aesthetic (I have long accepted that I am now in the "Kup" bracket of cranky oldster whose stories reflect an "old times" that predate a large chunk of fandom's having been programmed by the Creation Matrix, and I'm quite comfortable with that. Another symptom of settling into being comfortable with my middle-agedness I guess). For my part I would prefer that the humanoid modes reflected the "The Transformers" versions, with the alt-modes being updated to more modern vehicle forms, but I can see why they might be tempted to go with the designs from the comics which represent "current" interpretations of the characters.
As to what I would want to see in the line...
Wouldn't mind some aerialbots, but I'm not sure what you would use for alt-modes for several of them these days.

I just wish they'd go one way or the other on the designs. Their robot modes are modern, IDW-esque and characterful but their alt modes are sexed up G1 versions. If Swerve had had a more Cybertronian alt mode, it would have been a much more closely run race. the Legends figure is clearly based on the IDW robot so why not the alt mode too? I'd settle for two separate lines: One in a modern IDW style and one in an updated G1 style. But to get back on topic... Autobot minibots are an obvious choice for the scale and style with Wheelie needed urgently before Xtransbots puts theirs out. The rest of the Insecticons would also be very welcome but it's a shame they've already made some as minicons in the range (e.g. Chop Shop) as that pretty much guarantees we won't see a full sized version. Thinking of more IDW characters: Rung would be fun, even if he does have an astonishingly dull alt mode sadly. This series started with those data disks so we probably won't see an IDW-accurate Rewind. Similarly, there's a gleaming possibility for RatBat. The Constructicons might work too...

I long since stopped trying to view the classic line in its many forms as updating or homaging G1, it works so much better simply viewed as a continuation. Then there is no distinction between G1 and IDW at least as far as the toys are concerned.
G1 toys of the same character weren't the same especially by the time you get to the Takara and the G2 lines. Toys of Optimus Prime developed a lot over that first decade. Compare Star Convoy and G2 Laser Prime and Hero Prime to the Diaclone mould. Theres clear design homages, but they weren't trying to recreate the first Prime toy each time. So Idont see any of the more radical departures from G1 as an issue. If Megatron wants to be a plane, okay hes already been a gun, space cannon, tank (and based solely on toy packaging) a Crocodile.
And lines like Pretender classics and 100% the Actionmasters took their inspiration from the media rather than the toys. I suppose if the internet had been in wide scale use in 1990 there would have been G1 vs Sunbow discussions when the actionmasters were released but now its just seen as G1.
Thats how I feel now about IDW, the comics have a particular style right now that some of the toys are taking on board, but taking Swerve as an example there have been very few toys that have so closely stuck to the original. Theres almost no detail that doesn't correspond to part of the original toy. In cases were alt modes dont match I just assume that how they would look if they arrive on Earth, which may or may not happen at some point.
Anyway on topic, much like everyone else Minibots Insecticons, Reflector and I'll chuck in Throttlebots because I have no interest in deluxe sized 3p combiner versions unless they cost under £15. Some G2 Gobot based moulds would be very appreciated here and come built in with about a dozen repaints each. Micromasters would be much better in this class than as Minicons. Countdown, Flak, Big Daddy amongst others.

Oooh, yes, Throttlebots! That'd be good. But only if they replaced the Minicons with non-transforming, rubber figures... (Although some would argue they've pretty much done that anyway.) Yeah, a decent Goldbug would be nice.
And I agree with you about this being a continuation of G1. That's why I like it. But I also like that they're taking design cues from the IDW comics at the moment, just because that's my favourite version of Transformers at the moment. And, hey, if you'd rather they were cartoon (and sometimes comic, when they followed the same model sheet) accurate, there's the Masterpiece line. So yeah, it's good they're doing that at the moment. There should in theory be something for everyone, somewhere or other...

Oooh! Oooh! I know, I know!
The Legends line has become all about smaller versions of characters or figures, but take a moment and consider that name: "Legends". They should drop legendary characters into this line. Characters that might not have appeared elsewhere. And, being small, they shouldn't be much of an economic risk for either producer or consumer.
What am I thinking about? Transtech. As I've detailed elsewhere, I'd love to have seen that continuation to the Beast saga. The designs exist, so why not tiny renditions of Transtech figures..?
Well, probably because no-one would know what the hell they were. But I can dream, can't I?
The sun might have gotten to me today.

Rack and Ruin as two separate legends with removable arm to combine them. Jumpstarte too at that size would be fun toys.

In as much as I ever saw much of any particular toy in an actual shop... Also, Bogatan, stop it! Just stop it! You're making me cry at the thought of all the awesomeness we will never have...

I actually got four of the Throttlebots back in the day (intentionally skipped Chase and Freeway, since I couldn't remember their personalities and they turned into rather generic cars) but never saw any with decoys. Never saw a decoy at all that I can remember until the early days of eBay.
Anyway. Yes. Legends wish list. Scraplets? Assorted teeny-bot-monsters that turn into nuts and bolts? Probably too obscure and the alt modes rather lack play value.

OHMYGODI'VEJUSTHADABRILLIANTIDEA!!!!!!!
Hows about all the '84/'85 Autobot cars in the Legends scale?! Then they'd scale much better with the Classics Strike Planes! Legends maybe too small though, full scout size would be better. And I'd have to start my Autobot Classics collection from scratch. And you'd need a decent delux Optimus, Megatron, Soundwave, Blitzwing etc....
Actually that wasn't such a brilliant idea...
