Glyph, please.
The 'Bee mold is too small to be anyone important like bumblebee, imo. But I have a feeling we may see it as wheelie. I wouldn't mind seeing it is packrat.

What the-?! I've just noticed that Kapow have the new Legends figures listed, so that's Thundercracker, Windcharger, Bombshell and Powerglide. And that's goodness, I wanted another Insecticon to go with my recently-acquired Shrapnel. But... they're listed as costing £12.99. Which is exactly the same price as the earlier Legends that came with minicon partners! To say that I am a little miffed by this is an understatement...

Aside from all that. Legends Warpath. There's a thing. Legends Warpath! The '85 minibots are doing well out of this line. Much moreso than the '84 ones.

Warpath is pointless to me. We got an infinately superior one already a while back.

That's a bit harsh without having seen the toy. Yes you don't like the legends size but even so...

Thinking about it there's an obvious Legends repaint here that Hasbro have missed:
Blackout, repainted in Blue, as Roller to attach as armour for Combined Prime

I don't see how it's harsh. He was perfect. Perfect size, spot on, engineering vastly superior to anything we get now out of deluxes, let alone the legends.
It seems like a huge waist of a slot, to me. There are dozens of characters more appropriate and more needed.

But Hasbro seem to want a full line up of legends sized minibots and Insecticons so it's not really taking a slot, at worst its getting a third Warparth in 6 years ahead of minibots that haven't had a dedicated or at least not a good dedicated mould. But at this point thats down to Huffer, Pipes, Wheelie and Outback. Oh and Hubcap.
Even those are debatable, GDO Wheelie is great and Takara released the legends and I personally like movie Fallback. Pipes and Huffer are an odd pair to have missed, but Hubcab really not so much, unless they switch him to an orange or do something to make him stand out from Bee.
Plus it is, or will be 4 years since the last Warpath, even in the 80s plenty of Transformers got new toys in that length of time.

Generations Warpath is a figure I don't have but would like at some point; I do recognise it's greatness. I'm thinking more though that it would be great if this Legends line lasts long enough to give us some complete sets. Cosmos is great, Powerglide looks like he'll be just as good. Give us a Warpath along those lines and we're only short Beachcomber and Seaspray for a really nice set. I quite like the scale of them. They're minibots, so I wouldn't be as enamoured with a set like that at deluxe size.

When i wanted them to do away with the terrible minicon, this isn't what I had in mind.

You mean less toy, more price? I do like the packaging. I do not like the monies that are being asked.

Yeah. I was always upset that we got a simplified cybverse commander and a terrible minicon (mind, i have no qualms about minicons, but these guys barily qualify, barily transform) for the price of a scout. So it seemed that the budget for the minicon half of the twopack could have gone into making a much better main figure. Possibly closer to a true scout, which makes for a much more appropriate size.
So instead, they cut the minicon, for the same cost, and the same figure. Blegh.

Wow. Powerglide looks fantastic. They're so on the ball with these Legends.
Cosmos arrived yesterday. Freak-a-duck he's BRILLIANT. Magnificent. IGear's UFO is good, but this is better (except his molded hands are rather large aren't they?!). Looks great with Warpath and iGear's Seaspray. I'm on a mission to own all of The Five now. I had all five early on as a child. Hadn't realised what a nostalgic buzz this little group gives me.

Have you got Swerve, Tailgate & Skrapnel?
DO NOT PUSH COSMOS' HEAD DOWN! It's a bugger to get back up without scraping the paint.

Jings. That looks just like the mini-Autobot toy from back in the day and yet somehow modern without looking different. It breaks my head slightly.

And to add to that he's a Triple-Changer! Ok, the weapon mode is acceptable if not brilliant - but the fact they got it into the overall package is impressive. It is a lovely looking toy. Tempted to replace my movie Powerglide with this at some point, under the "My original collection had one" clause.
(The aft shot amuses me because I see Powerglide has added a third engine over and above what he is disguised as - someone should tell him that other 'planes already suspected A-10's of overcompensating because of the gun, without him adding to the impression...)
On topic of the Legends Swerve, I had a chance to have a proper play with him at Phil's recently, and I am really impressed. Much prefer it to the IP-infringing one that is doing the rounds. They both have pretty equivalent humanoid modes, but the alt-mode on the Legend is, I feel, so much better than on the hinky one. Combining that with the fun little mini-con and the lower price point and I think the proper Swerve walks away with the comparison in his loadbed.

That makes it look like some sort of rangefinder/optic sight combination. Superion is a bit hard-core this time around!

Cosmos arrived yesterday. Freak-a-duck he's BRILLIANT. Magnificent. Isn't he just? I ordered and recently received Tailgate, Swerve, Skrapnel and Cosmos. Of the four, Cosmos was the one I was least excited about. After playing with them all, Cosmos is easily my favourite. Absolutely brilliant. Also interested to hear that Legends Swerve is better than the 3P version, Trashtalk. Whilst I like the additional extra face (or non-face) that Trashtalk comes with I was tempted to pick him up, too. But if the vehicle mode really is weaker than the legends than I might well not bother. I was also considering passing on Powerglide. Now, I am not.

Look at Turn the shoulder joint 90 degrees and the missile pods will be facing down. Now put the wings into the correct position and the missile pods face forward in plane mode.

Whilst I like the additional extra face (or non-face) that Trashtalk comes with I was tempted to pick him up, too. But if the vehicle mode really is weaker than the legends than I might well not bother. I think this is a "horses for courses" thing. Nick advised me that the alt-mode on the hinky version is based on his alt-mode in MTME, which I'll admit I'm having a hard time remembering seeing (mind you, I'm having a tough time remembering when most folk have transformed in that book :-) ). Nick and Andy have both advised me that it is a pretty good rendition of what it is aiming at. I just think it isn't a very appealing or interesting design, and I'm also fond of the idea of a Swerve which more resembles the one I originally had - only up-teched. You may well come to a different view than me depending on your individual preferences. Karl

Both Trashtalk and New Swerve are pretty good toys. The latter edges it for me as it is somewhat more affordable.
