I could get behind a re-issue of the Terrorcons and Techobots!
But hurrah for the Combaticons. I doubt I'll have room in the budget for them personally but I'm glad they're coming out and it will make some people happy so win-win I say.

It is great to see the Combaticons get a reissue. I'm not sure that they are quite my thing to own in all honesty, but I am very pleased that they exist.
On the other hand I would love to see the Technobots reissued - they are one of the few Scramble-city combiner teams I have a real interest in owning for some reason.

If there are any newer features on these I'd get them even though I own the G1 guys already.
I have G2 Combaticons. They RULE the most.

Now if they have the launcher in them..... I am sure the Encore Onslaught will be the version with the launcher. At least, I hope so! Now. If the Encore Combaticons sell well, it could mean we get more reissue Special Teams. Seacons next! Maybe they made them when they made the Fanclub Seacons! But I would really, really, really be happy to see Encore Constructicons.

In my toy-hunting travels I've found that, despite being by far the most-released moulds, the Combaticons seem to command the highest prices on eBay of all the '86 combiners. In fact, the only Scramble City type who consistently goes for more is Piranacon. I guess there are a lot of serious Combaticon fans out there.

I always preffered the Protectorbots, but it makes sense that the military toys were so popular.

Looking forward to this set a lot.
It would be nice if they create a "perfect" version of the team - restoring the die-cast bits, putting in Onslaught's launching mechanism, re-stretching Onslaught's gun and re-pointy-fying Blast-Off's nose cone* (the last two Ruination releases featured a blunted nosecone For Safety Reasons TM) - whilst keeping the combining weapons and mounting points of Baldigus/Ruination as they make the whole set more fun. Since it's Takara I imagine they will put the effort in.
*Mind the, the round nosecone would make Blast-Off look more like the animation model... hmmm...

I never knew that Blast Off had his cone rounded off!
I am sure Takara will make sure the Encore release is the best it can be.

The original Japanese versions of Onslaught, Motormaster and Silverbolt all had working spring-loaded launchers in their "ramp" modes to catapult the other team members along the ramps. Hasbro took 'em out when they released them in the west however. Specifically on Onslaught you can attach his small chest shield onto the hole of his launcher to increase the surface area.

I can imagine Takara releasing the Action Masters in those little blind-packed boxes. Maybe if they shrunk the molds too, or something crazy like that.

I'm working on trying to complete the Action Masters this year. Even if I achieved my goal I would still buy re-issues due to my huge love of the sub-line. And some of my AM's are a bit knackered and most are missing guns/partners. -Ralph
