I do not believe I will see a bigger bit of comics news all year.
But pull on the threads here.... what else might Marvel have with it?

For a start.
Then there's two more current licenses currently homeless....

Still not sure what the draw of this character is. Maybe if it had been a Transformers backup I would be interested. Could we be seeing it hit Marvel Unlimited if the art has been made nice for print?

My link to Rom is I did read it as a Marvel UK backup strip, but 4 or so years earlier in Star Wars monthly.
Yes, almost certainly will be on Unlimited after the Omnibus comes out. Try it, it is very VERY good stuff.

I've been wanting to read ROM for a long time, so this is extremely welcome news, but as Phil hinted the other exciting thread to this is the collaboration between Hasbro and Marvel... could we see classic GI Joe / Action Force and Transformers omnibi in the not too distant future?

uh whaaaaaat?? Is Rom Hasbro then? Is the Transformers licence still without a home since IDW?

Rom was produced by Parker Brothers, who are owned by Hasbro.
Similarly Micronauts, produced by Mego, are owned by Hasbro.
As yet the licensor for Transformers and GIJoe is unknown but this is taken as a big hint

I'll grab The Romnibus (and the Micronauts one) off Booksetc when they come out. Usually cheaper and better packed.

Marvel Omnibus books (the really big 1000+ page ones) are usually around £60-70 on Books Etc or Speedyhen.

A new second hand bookshop has opened in my town with a good selection of comics. Bought a random Rom to see what the fuss is about.

I'll wait for Booksetc, where it will be cheaper and better packed for posting. Stopped using Amazon a while ago when I canned Prime.

The shiny shiny foil cover versions of the ROM #1 and MICRONAUTS #1 'Facsimile Editions' on the way. I had no choice.
