Looks fine to me, but I've never seen the original issues so I'm guessing.
The repro and recolouring of the Just One Page entry is excellent, however.

Picked up All Star Goddamn Batman and Robin along with Arkham Asylum and ABC Warriors: Hellbringer in Waterstones 3 for 2 yesterday.
Some repro issues on five or six pages of Hellbringer. That's the first rebellion trade I've been unhappy with.
The fifteenth anniversary Arkham Asylum is well worth getting for the script and notes as well as Grant Morrison's layouts for the art.
All Star Goddamn Batman is a joy to read, Frank Miller has either gone mad or has made the best satirical stab at Batman you'll ever read. Either way it's a great read and of course Jim Lee's art is very pretty indeed.

I had a flick through the Dragon's Claws trade in FP. Ah, the nostalgia. I know full well though that, like Death's Head's series, it won't hold up.
I'll still end up buying the lot of them online when smashed sometime though. Damn me.

Seriously, if you've never read it order a copy. Superb Byrne art. Not so quiet! Mantlo Cloak and Dagger! Original Guardians of the Galaxy! Another Mini Marvels digest! Essential X-Men vol3 shall be procured for the Neal Adams art. Er, $17 for the first Captain Britain and MI:13 trade? It's only got four issues! That's a bit poo. -Ralph

Oh yes, I can finally get shot of that bollocks recoloured Neal Adams trade. I love his art in black and white.

Neal Adams' artwork looks superb in black-and-white. Amongst my early memories of comics are seeing Adams' work in b&w UK reprints. Those X-Men issues are worth it for the artwork alone (just as well really as the stories aren't exactly up to much).
His Batman look very striking in b&w too.
Might be skipping the "Captain Britain a& MI13" trade mind you, despite having recently disposed of my single issues. That is a bit of a steep price for four issues of material quite frankly.

Glad to see Marvel Masterworks FF get a softcover release. I've been after good colour copies of Stan and Jack FF for a while at an affordable price. I hope more Masterworks get a TPB release.

To be honest there's nothing wrong with Panini's trades, the problem is that they are not built to withstand the moron shelf attacker who picks the trades up with gay abandon. This breed of person seem quite prevalent in both Glasgow and Edinburgh I have found.

It's not just that. I've seen Panini trades go onto shelves on day of release in knackered states. Won't touch their books with a bargepole.

I've a few Panini trades and they've held up really well over the years. No better or worse than the Rebellion/Titan/Marvel/DC and whoever else I have.

Well worth getting.

Finished Morrison New X-Men V3 The weaker of the volumes due to no Quitely art. The Bachalo and Silvestri stuff is OK, but I don't like Jiminez (sp?)
Includes the Morrison manisfesto missing from V1 that was in E for Extinction.
Nice to have complete.
Bit of a light month in the trade dept coming up.

FPG have a rather extensive '50% off graphic novels' sale with loads of stuff marked down (a lot of it recent stuff). I was going to pass on account of no cash but a gas rebate came in so in a 'fuck it' moment I availed myself of joy as it has been a dreadful time of late. Picked up Walt Simonson FF Visionaries Vols 1-2 and Walt Simonson Thor Visionaries Vol 5 (just need vols 1 & 4 of that series to complete the set now). Not bad for £19.
Best result in an FP sale ever!

Plastic Man - On The Lam by Kyle Baker.
A collection of the first six issues of the series launched in 2004. Cracking stuff from Kyle Baker, with nods to Robert Crumb and Tex Avery, Chuck Jones and the like with the artwork and the story is delightfully bonkers.
The cover instead of the usual cardstock is plastic laminate which is a nice touch. Snagged this on ebay for a couple of quid - well worth getting.
