Bunny vs Monkey Books 1-3 by Jamie Smart as published in The Phoenix arrived on Saturday morning.
Superb cartoonist and great daft gags. Well worth picking up, and as I was one of the first 250 to get Book 3 I got a wee print and all my books were signed by Jamie.

Picked up at long last what I think is the finest Punisher comic series - Welcome Back Frank.
Fantastic stuff, pretty much the definitive Punisher.

I enjoyed it at the time, but didn't think it had aged very well upon a more recent re-read. Definitely works as a "turn your brain off" action movie style romp though, and led into a great Punisher run from Ennis. His Punisher The End one-shot was easily one of the best Marvel End stories.
Really enjoyed Aaron's Punisher Max run, that's worth checking out if you haven't, Dillon on art duties again.

Oh yes, definitely not looking at the character of Frank in any way.
Will give Aaron's run a go, anything with Steve Dillon art is worth a look, well almost anything Wolverine: Origins was not good.

Welcome Back Frank is one of my favourite comic reading experiences. Cemented Steve Dillon as one of my favourite artists (as if Absolom Daak wasn't enough).

He does indeed provide Dredd with a substantial chin.
Also his work on ABC Warriors: Red Planet Blues with Alan Moore and John Higgins is a wonderful tale.

The latest Marvel's Mightiest Heroes Collection is Moon Knight.
contains his appearance in Werewolf by Night and the recent Warren Ellis/Declan Shalvey/Jordi Bellaire six issue run.
Well worth a punt.

Great pacing and the art and colours are just fantastic.

Pleased to discover the Panini Marvel pocket books are not dead. The reason no new ones came up on Amazon was that the latest batch are all new printings of early volumes that were poorly put together the first time around. So now there are 2016 pocket books of Dark Phoenix, FF: The Coming of Galactus and The Night Gwen Stacy Died.

Finished reading Dark Phoenix and The Coming of Galactus (I haven't bought any of the Spider-Man pocket books). Both cracking stuff. Amazing to see one little sequential pocket book containing the Richards' wacky wedding and the first Inhumans, Silver Surfer and Galactus stories. With hindsight, that must have been quite a milestone year for Marveldom.
Have also bought and read the Doctor Strange Prelude trade to get me in the mood for the new film.
Six issues into both Rom and Hulk: Pardoned.

The FF during that period was THE book for Marvel, new concepts each month and not much time to catch your breath. When Stan and Jack were at the heights of the powers.

Meanwhile.... Now I've been paid and the finances are more stable I've splurged on all the trades I had preordered and cancelled following the PiP fun and games. Looking forward to the new Fatal Attractions but not sure about Amazon's issue listing for it: www.amazon.com/dp/1302901052/UNCANNY X-MEN (1981) 298-300, 303-304, 315; X-FACTOR (1986) 92; X-FORCE (1991) 25; X-MEN UNLIMITED (1993) 2; X-MEN (1991) 25 Shouldn't Wolverine 92 be in there? Not a huge problem as I have a copy in Wolverine Epic Collection 8 The Dying Game. But isn't there an Excalibur issue as well? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatal_Attractions_(comics)#BibliographyExcalibur 71. I've got some itch in the back of my head that that got left out the original trade too. Anyone got a copy of the new edition to hand? Is Amazon's contents listing correct? Did the original have the Excalibur issue? (I've got it at home, but I'm in London, can't check till Thursday and it's bugging me!)

The first one did indeed have Wolverine 75 and Excalibur 71 but it only had the actual issues. This looks like they have taken the second run where they split Fatal Attractions into two books and put the surrounding issues in it.

HUGE trade delivery.
Gambit Origins, X-Men: X-Tinction Agenda & X-Men Fatal Attractions all had Uncanny issues I didn't have colour traded so were a given. Great to see the Leonardi art in the first Genosha story in X-Tinction Agenda, he's really grown on me last few years.
Mockingbird Classic was a bit too much Kazar. One issue of Marvel Team Up I didn't have and a nice new copy of the Hawkeye Limited series.
I may need forgiving but I really enjoyed Starbrand Classic v2. I don't think I finished v1 but I'd not read any of v2, especially The Pitt, but it was all good stuff. Byrne's first Marvel job after returning from DC? Went on from here to West Coast Avengers I think.
The Machine Man Complete Collection remains to be read. It was a TFUK backup strip so you must buy it too.
But the star has been X:23 The Complete Collection v1, The first two stories are really, really good and it came as no surprise to find they were by Craid Kyle & Chris Yost, whose work I've previously really rated (New X-Men, X-Force). Far far better than the Wolverine serial at the moment featuring the character.

Does the Machine Man Complete Collection have the Jack Kirby stuff, or is it just the Ditko plus the BWS mini?

Both Kirby & Dikto, all 19 episodes of the original series, plus a Marvel Comics Presents.
No BWS limited series!
