Oh yes. I did love that. There is something so gloriously irrational in the level of planning and preparation which has gone into it, and its general conception. Proper Mad Scientist stuff, and what makes it better is that it seems fairly clear that if Shockwave hadn't been subjected to the lobotomy that James Roberts established, he would have dismissed the idea himself as mental. It made up for what felt like a lot of fiddle-faddling around in the first half of the story when I got to the reveal and went... "Shockwave, you are out of your tiny hexagonal mind. Glorious."
Just got the closing one-shot to go now, and I do think that once it picked up the pace in the last half this has been a cracking read. I'm still glad I waited for the sale and picked it up then, because I couldn't have afforded to buy both books on an ongoing basis at the time - whereas the sale came at just the right time for me to snag them.

I thought it was a good crossover as a whole, reasonable payoff (to an extent). The new status quo seems interesting so far.
