Dragstrip could be Leadfoot, he's got a Wreckers connection. Maybe a Sideswipe to go with the retail Sunstreaker from Breakdown or Deadend?

Ah, yeah, Leadfoot was a Wregen-Wrecker. I could dig it.

New head. They have *never* used a completely different head attached to a completely different mold, before. It would require running some, or all of the FoC Impactor/Onslaught mold, just to get the head, plus engineering an entirely new connection to get the head to work on and attach too the Rook body, and that's assuming it can even fit in the spot in the first place. All and all, just significantly easier to make a new head from scratch designed to work on the rook molding. I'm very willing to bow to your knowledge of the subject because I have none, but the head in the image is identical to the FoC one, just a different colour. Perhaps it's just been used for artistic reference because obviously what we've seen isn't the toy; it does say that on the image itself.

It depends how it was done for the FOC Onslaught mould: if they were all cast on their own individual sprue then maybe but that's also relying on the neck connection being the same type and size.
This brings to mind something I've been considering....

The picture is a mock up and looks to me to be using the FOC head, but thats just photoshop, odds are is it isnt the head that will be used. Which is worrying because FP have about a 50/50 success rate on new heads. And when its bad its really bad.

I havent checked but have been assuming the heads on CW figures are all standard for some reason. Would certainly be a bonus if the sprues with head parts can be isolated and used elsewhere.

They aren't. I tried a head swap with Alpha Bravo and one of the jets: the ball joints in the neck weren't the same.

Impactor, eh? How did I miss that whilst I was away? Aside from easily... In any case... This might make it more difficult to resist picking up Chromedome, too. At some future point...

www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=938626122863033&id=151255348266785 Hello all, a quick update on the next Transformers Figure Subscription Service for all those wondering when orders will start.
The order period for the TFSS 4.0 will begin in August and will cover two pay periods to help those wanting to pay in full upfront. Of course if you do need to spread your payments out rather than pay in one lump sum, there is, as always, the 3 payment installment plan as well. We expect to start taking orders for the TFSS 4.0 starting around the middle of the month. Stay tuned for additional information on all six TFSS 4.0 figures - Bludgeon, Ruckus, Windsweeper, Spinister, Needlenose and Impactor.
And remember, anyone who completes the subscription will receive a FREE Bonus 7th Deluxe Class Combiner Wars figure! Randy

SerpantOR came in today.
Very nice figure, but I feel it has no business being in the sub service. I did not join the TRANSFORMERS club to be forced to buy GI Joe toys. It should have been the optional purchase, with Nova Prime being in the sub service.

I've had it pointed out that Ruckus' robot mode has changed since we saw it before and looks much more purple now like the original: snakas.blog95.fc2.com/blog-entry-4749.htmlHowever I think the vehicle mode is still based on the earlier colours and will end up looking more purple.

I think that's the one of that set I'd have gone for if they were cheaper/more easily available. Nice colour scheme. Perhaps it's because Spinister sounds like spinster, but I've always thought he should be female.

Singe and Hairsplitter have large purple things between their legs.

They're more between their lower than upper legs. This isn't a case for the X-rated TFs thread.

I had been wondering if Onslaughts vehicle mode was going to be backwards. Guess now I know. I'm really not feeling these, so I guess I can pass. But I said that about Chromedome and now...
