We *think* there's a street date on w4 to tie in with the movie toy launch, which is why they've not been available in the west after the initial far east releases in Jan Oh that's encouraging. Photo evidence is good. So that means we've got a gap in the usual US release pattern doesn't it? Oooooh, Wave 3 took ages to come out there didn't it, so they've been dragging that out to time wave four with the release of the movie toys? seems an odd thing to do but would explain the patchy releases in America so far this year. |

If they keep to 6 releases a line and 3 month intervals then w5 would be August and w6 cNovember with New Wave 1 c Feb18, post toyfair.

That looks likely, end Aug/Nov is a usual release slot with the toys actually in hand during Sept and Dec.
So the way things have gone in recent years there is a slot missing this year, the end Feb/Mar one, although the wave 4 Titanmasters and Deluxes did turn up briefly at that time.
Given they've promoted the film wave one and two toys together I wonder if they'll get released simultaneously, or if the second movie wave will be in the gap between April 24th and the end of August. It'd make sense to have wave two hit when the film does in June.

ID have the first two voyagers up for preorder at £28. which I know is an online sighting, but I'm just posting the prices for comparison. £22.49 is interesting, I was anticipating at least £25, but, as we said, it is in line with 6" Black Series prices, which is where Hasbro want to position these toys now. I can't see how a bit of extra paint will make up the difference on the - what - £16 they were last time though?

Phil, is RID 2015 the first TF line not to have any figures skipped over in the UK? -Ralph Technically Tiny Titans is part of it..... It's had no generally available Legions or Warriors* skipped so far. My memory says Prime &Beast Huinters managed it. * The TRU exclusive face plated Megatronus never showed up here. And the 2nd wave of TRU exclusives haven't been seewn yet. I've not been paying too close attention to all the other sizes to be 100% sure! Proof Burns is responsible for us all missing Warrior Bisk! |
