I think the Op is more mad than the Megatron..... and it's clear red plastic. Sooooooo tempted.`

Never mind the crazy colours, Prime has a Battle Baster that converts to a Canon!

Still the most dreadful mainline TF toy of the last decade.

No. He's not the best but he's not that bad. I've played with far worse. Energon Dinobot for a start. Alpha Q didn't even try to Transform.
Was that dreadful Supreme Cheetor in the last decade?

No, but he was still warming shelves at The Entertainer at the start of it.

They at least had decent plastic. Optimus Maximus feels like a cheap bubble bath container.

Yeah but he stands up unaided unlike Supreme Cheetor

So does a bubble bath container. A £30+ toy with the plastic quality of OM is unforgiveable. I've had Poundland toys that felt better made and less cheap.

How are these figures worse than Beast Wars TM2s?

Having seen in person what a hot mess Thundertron is, I have no interest in beasts in Prime style.

Hahahahahahahahaha, no. Could these figures look any more like Poundland toys? Thank you Hasbro for making my cutback on purchases easy.

Transformers in general do look very Poundlandish these days (or like another cheap looking toy range: Power Rangers). It is so easy not to buy them. I think the brand is proper fooked now.
Armada era toys now look utterly mindblowing in comparison.

I might be tempted by the Sinnertwin homage if I see it in the plastic, but the rest leave me kind of cold. I'm glad they have their fans, though. I hope kids enjoy them just as much.

Funny that someone should mention Armada - one of the things that Beast Hunters reminds me of is the Armada aesthetic. They feel like the vehicle toys are moving in more obviously "trying to be a toy" direction compared to some of the previous Prime toys which were sort of splitting the difference between that and a "real vehicle" look.
I'm not sure that they are really my thing but I'm glad to see that they are other folks cup of tea.

Now now, it's Christmas, there's no need for that. Surely today of all days the red Rumble and blue Rumble factions should be putting their animosity down and climbing out of the trenches for a game of football or something?
