I assume you want a sleeping bag for the weekend Andu? That would be splendid, I have my own, but I rather think a large amount of lego might end up coming back with me... Andy

Not a problem. Clear the space. There may be other items to take home too. And bring lots of digital storage.

Sadly I shan't be able to make it down this year. Last year it was due to Squadron budgets, this year it is a technical hitch which is limiting deployment range at the moment.
(One of the hazards of being a grab-bag of mecha some of which came off the production line not long after the Zentraedi War. I've suggested to the Office of Procurement that if they replaced all of our complement with late-block VF-19A's it would be so much easier on the maintenance budget... I wonder if that's why I have all those mysterious high-speed meetings with the wall opposite the Procurement Offices...)
Andy, Nick - I trust you will uphold the honour of the Scots Contingent in my absence...

I think I've worked it out to come down Sunday, provided travel costs don't increase a lot before I book. If they do I will regroup for 2015.

I'll be arriving on Friday evening about 8.30. Probably have dinner on the way. I'll be with you all Saturday and I have a return ticket so I can leave any time on Sunday.

This has snuck up fast! Trying to assess my schedule for Saturday to see if I can fit in a morning jaunt to the Lego Show and Lunch. Where is Pizza? Is it same place as last year?
Nick - If I do come, I can bring my CHUGs that I'm selling for you to look at?? But may be a hassle for you to take back on the train??

Dinner would be great if I can stay that long, do you know what time it'll be roughly?
Still haven't booked a train back, but I know options are a bit limited.

V. kind offer, Uncle Phil, but I think I'll take the easy option and remain central for the day.
What's best for meeting up with you guys on Saturday? In the queue for the show circa 0940 hours?

Anything you can't/don't eat?

:-) I seem to recall you walking it at least once before. We'll meet you there then.
Andy, what time do you arrive on Sunday? We might have to have a think what's the best way to get you from station to show....

I think the earliest I can get into Swindon is 9.35 on a national express bus. Looking at Google it seems walkable, but I will have a fair bit with me I think.
Leaving the latest I can go is 7.30 at the moment, but I'm still looking for alternative routes.
as for food, I'm pretty easy going. Not a huge fan of hams or cream/cheese sauces, but as long as it isn't ham in cheese sauce I'm fine.

Andy: Your best bet is probably to make your way from the Bus Station to the opposite side of Fleming Way - there's a Pedestrian Underpass you can use Map of Bus Station and Fleming Way Find a 1 or an 8 (Stops G or F). Both are half hourly on a Sunday but helpfully the 1s are on the hour and half hour and the 8s are at 15 and 45. You want to ask for a Day Rider - £3.70 exact change. That'll cover any bus travel you need and to get up to me later if necessary. Travel to the Outlet Village - about 4 or 5 mins. Map of Outlet villageThe bus stop is just as the bus goes past the outlet village shopping center and turns right. You'll need to get round the shopping center to the Steam Museum where the show takes place. Andy T - any chance Andy K can be met at the bus stop?
