Have gone back to traditional pen and ink for Book 3, some odd digital bits here and there but for the most part it's all on the page and I think that makes the difference.
Also, I've almost always had drawings done the day before the next strip was due, so no real rush jobs.

Brilliant, had to go all the way back to issue 100 and something to catch up, but it was well worth the surprisingly long read. I agree with Matt the art is looking good. The last 6 months or so especially seem to have had a more polished look than some of the earlier strips and there's a, not really sure, a consistency or confidence to the art, parts 32 and 33 being prime examples. Great close ups on Spanner, Octane and straxus.
I'll stay on top of reading them this time.

The last 6 months or so on the first book were done in Manga Studio, so a bit more control over it than the ones drawn on the iPad (lack of pressure sensitivity on capacitive touchscreens being a major pain in the ass) and Book 3 has been back to the traditional pen and ink stuff and I think works the better for it. I'd agree that the art is definitely better on this book. Hopefully I can keep it up. Glad you are enjoying the rather unusual longform saga we have with Straxus, which I would like to point out fits perfectly into his Marvel chronology should you wish to expand your personal Straxus head canon.
