Let's face it, if you look at it objectively, the most ridiculous Transformer ever has to be the original Megatron. A gun? How's he going to move around? Recoil from A to B? It's not even much of an offensive form - transform from a robot and the chance of him landing in a position to actually fire at the enemy is pretty much non-existent. Let's not even get started on the size difference between his two forms.

How is the concept of fuzors rediculous? Perhaps it was more Hasbro's choice of animals and the way they chose to combine their features that was more the crazy! Good: Silverbolt = Eagle + Wolf Tigerhawk = Hawk + White Tiger OK: Skyshadow = Iguana + Dragonfly Buzzclaw = Lizard + Preying Mantis Crazy: Bantor = Tiger + Madrill Terrorgator = Aligator + Turtle Quickstrike = Cobra + Scorpion THESE COMBINATIONS SHOULD NOT BE: Airhammer = Hawk + Hammerhead Shark Injector = Lionfish + Piranha Torca = Orca + Elephant Noctorro = Bat + Bull We are skewed quite heavily towards the crazy category for the concept! Although, I can imagine kids getting a real kick from this particular brand of crazy! This stuff really fuels the imagination. Also - BW Neo Magmatron's alt mode when combined

What about BW2 Moon? Also ones that come to mind (and have not been mentioned) are the Tako Tank, Ejector, Most of the Pretenders, Break, Stampy and Longrack. Also those Bayformer things.
And Ratchet and Ironhide (but we've always been used to them being like that).

I like Fuzors. But Injector's insane. The beast mode's okay, but the robot mode's bonkers. It's the head.

Many of the AM partners are bonkers, especially the ones which are just big hats.

The thing is the big hats were going somewhere: they turn up again in the first year of Brave

You just phrased it like the very concept of fuzors was rubbish, but maybe i just read it wrong. To me, coming up with new fuzors is one of the most fun things to do.

Taken individually, any of Spectro, Spyglass and Viewfinder are robots who turn into 1/3 of a camera, which strikes me as somewhat more absurd than Megatron.

Bruticus and Defensor. Imagine having a helicopter for one limb and a motorbike for another! Or a space shuttle and a jeep. It doesn't work!!!
And while we're on the subject of space shuttles, what sort of disguise mode is that? Astrotrain is OK though, he has two disguise modes and can blend in anywhere... provided he's either at a space shuttle launch site where nobody knows how to count... or on a railway line that isn't in use by other trains.

Perceptor turning into a gigantic microscope with tank treads always gives me a giggle.

Fuzors scare me! Especially Injector! Aaaarrrgh!
Good points about the 'mass shifters', especially Megatron. On one hand gun Megs is so nostalgic, on the other hand a gun has never sat well with me.
Cosmos is pretty crazy, in a good way!

Yeah, I'd thought of Cosmos, too! '50s flying saucer doesn't seem like the best disguise (though it doesn't take much effort to No-prize it).

Still my favourite line of Transformers. And everyone loves Decoys and they don't transform so shush Phil. I know what you are thinking!

I was looking for a different thread, and stumbled onto this one. We've had seven more years of new entrees since the last post.
I think the Fossilizers deserve mention, but Steve from Accounting has to win the thread.

Stranglehold deserves to be mentioned here too, if he hasn't already.
