I'm glad this was done. The ongoing milking of the Tolkien estate and these miraculous discoveries of material do somewhat irk me.

I saw there was a new Pratchett book out while in asda. Its only a collection of short stories but it made me really miss the joy of discovering a new dicworld book on the shelf.

Still rationing the last few PTerry books to one every blue moon. Last one was three years ago so I started Making Money recently. There's something warm and comfortable about returning to the Discworld every few years. I think at some point I'll do some re-reading in character arc order as opposed to publication.

I realised I havent read the Long Earth books. So I'll read those (and wait for the final books release) and any others that might have slipped past me before I come back to the last discworld book. I'm really not in a rush to run out of new Pratchett. Seven years later and I still havent read the last book. Havent read a lot of anything in that time really, but more actively avoided that one than others.

I expect there are a variety of reading order lists as characters cross over so often, but there is a 'by character' list on Terry's website: www.terrypratchettbooks.com/discworld-reading-order/

They are from old newspapers so not Tolkien-like tomfoolery, thankfully. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-64789059-Ralph
