Nah Beast hunters Shockwave does the job fine.
I get the thinking behind Shockwhirl but, at least from that photo, I'm not convinced.

Not having an alt mode, a dramatically oversized gun arm, and being so spiky, he doesn't work for me. Granted, he's considerably better than FoC Shockwave. And of the two, he fills the hole, currently.

Shockwhirl, no. Legs are wrong. Shockwave is TFUS #5, period. Whirl is too spindly. Beast Hunters Shockers is a top toy, best Voyager from that line, but to make him a good G1 Shockwave he'd need adapting a bit (new head for a start). FoCShock is an evil abomination. Do not speak of him.
Like the Rodimus though. That could work.

I'm the same. Rodimus looks good, I don't think the Shockwave works at all. Shame.

Rodimus is as good, if not better than I pictured and if I can't get one for a reasonable price I'm glad to have gotten a spare Springer to repaint.
Whirl is probably terrible for SW, but I think it might make a great looking toy. Looking forward to bigger pictures.

Rodimus disturbs me. I can't shake the idea that Springer's just cosplaying as Hot Rod in order to get Arcee into bed...

Shockwave.....
It's the head. They've gone for Whirl cos Shockwave is a Cyclops as well but The head shape is just wrong.
The original Shockwave is just so distinctive ....

Yeah, agreed. Not all 'bots with single eyes look the same! That's... botist. Or something.
But yeah, they should have given Shockwave a new head. Cos-playing Springer kind of works, but Shockwave does not...

So far, I like Megatron. And that's about it. I think Megatron should have used the Blitzwing mould making him a tank and a jet.

I think if Rodimus had a new head I might feel a slight urge to investigate this. It looks right. But it also looks just like Springer.

I really like that Rodimus.
If I can get it at an non-CUTA reaming price I'm sold.
Failing that I can easily repaint my Springer.

Whirl as Shockwave, it's a bit odd but there is something about it.

Oooh... Nice spinny pictures. I do like that Rodimus, the colours work really well. But a third use of that mould on the same shelf? Probably not for what that will cost.

Whirlwave just looks like Whirl painted purple. Not Shockwavey at all. But the cannon mode isn't bad. Rodimus does look decent, but no where near decent enough to purhase.

The thought in that thread is it's something Hellscream related. Could be the BWII Starscream colours, who becomes Hellscream.

I do like that Energon Ironhide. It's certainly something of a leftfield choice, I'd been assuming Cloud figures would largely be classic characters (though must admit to not having followed Cloud closely, and have only a vague idea of what it's all about).

Energon Ironhide (called Roadbuster in Japan, so a natural fit) is a classic character now. Energon was 10 years ago.
Also, Sky-byte does indeed seem to be in BWII Starscream colours.

The Aichi pics confirm the Sky Byte name as Hellwarp..... HellScream in Skywarp colours?
I'm sorry the E Ironhide does NOTHING for me.

Well of course if Starscream turns in to a shark Skywarp has to follow suit, now lets hope Thundercracker is done in action master colours.
Kind of liking Roadbuster.
